Captain obvious here. You are clueless as hell if you thought Perry and company could hang with a top 8 team tonight.
Did you not watch Perry in high school? It seems like he is not that fast now.Is that really what you thought?
Before this season started i said we need another top pg. I was worried about Butler but he proved me wrong.
However you can't have just Kerr behind him. Even if they both don't go down he's not good enough. Fun, sure, but unless you had a top 20 freshman pg you can't go into the season with only Butler and Kerr. Had Butler not gone down we're probably good.
But there's foul trouble, injuries, you got to have a guy as good as the guy. They can play together. I hope Pope learns this lesson. Like when we had Ashton, Maxey and Quickly you felt good even when Ashton was out. With this offense and wanting to shoot 30+ 3s which we rarely do you need a distributor. Butler really isn't it but it works. And of course as we have seen take him out and we're a mess. I just hope Pope puts more focused on the pgs going forward. You gotta have a solid 3, even if one is more of a sg.

Its just a tough matchup playing maybe the BEST backcourt in the country without Jax and Butler on the offensive or defensive end.
The Alabama backcourt basically has no reason to stress or get beat down defensively against our reserves and that extra energy gets transferred to the offensive end where they just play at a different gear.
Gotta shoot the ball better to win games like that. 30% shooting with 5 threes is not going to beat any teams that are till playing post season basketball.
