Assuming next year (2017-18) is an average B1G season and our schedule is also "average," RU goes .500 or better in conference.

Buying? Selling?

I am buying.

I figure that most players will be back, with another year of coaching, conditioning, maturity, experience and team chemistry, I think the level of play will be higher.

Then is the development that I hope we continue this year, plus future facilities, I believe we can get a piece or two to make us that much better.

Sell short term and buy long term. From what I see not enough on roster to make the big leap needed to get to 9-9 in conference.

What this group should do is make Rutgers an option for kids who are now HS frosh and sophs

I wouldnt buy yet, not until we go through this season and not until we see how the rest of the league is shaping up in the future. Too many RU fans think RU exists in a vacuum. There are 13 other schools in this league and all are seemingly getting better as well. RU just cut the cap from horrific to average, lets see how we fare this season before worrying about next season. Schools like Penn State, Northwestern and Minnesota will tell you how hard it is to get past the 6 win plateau in this league despite getting better.
