Re: BWHA. He Accidentally Said Kentucky

Adidas won't be happy. At least we know where his heart is.

Sounds like Bragg had a team around him to make the decision for him. One of the coaches wives was mentioned as an alum of KU stalking coach Self. They talk about Bragg Mother but where is his Father?

I know we can't take every single OAD talent, and we have to be somewhat choosy, but these kids picking kansas if 1 year is what they want is ridiculius. He's managed his oad talents like crap this year. He'd have been better off at Illinois.

I'm gonna say this recruitment is far from over. He won't sign his LOI until April. Not saying he is a definite to come to UK (depending on who leaves from this years team), just saying this isn't over yet.

I keep assuming you've already said the most asinine thing you're ever going to say and then you keep one-upping it.

Don't think so on the punking. Did you see that look on his face?

Feel bad for the kid, clearly he was nervous. But it does seem like UK was weighing pretty heavily, lol.

And on another note................it's highly amusing (and hypocritical) how Kansas fans are salivating for a class of Bragg, Newman, Ingram, and possibly even Maker. I wish I had a screen shot of all of the threads on their Scout board only just a couple of short years ago condemning Cal and his OAD system. And you can throw in all of the accusations and insinuations about our player's dorm when they first moved in as well. Of course just this summer there was a thread over there with a virtual tour of their new player's facility, with some bragging about how it tops UK's.

Of course they never wanted Kansas to become that school.

That was amazing.

Kansas fans can hate it all the want, but this is the truth. He wanted to play here, and he would have played here if Cal didn't have 4 other options he just prefers. Bragg didn't want to wait as long as UK wanted him to, so he's going to another good school. Kansas is getting a great player, and I bet he's really good while he's there, but let's not make any mistake about what this situation is. He wants to be here, and he's going to be there.

And why exactly did Bragg make this faux pas? Because Kentucky IS college basketball.

Hum diddy diddy.

No. He wanted to play here, but Adidas won out. It had nothing to do with who is here or who isn't.

I joined the stream early and was watching as they were setting up and as Bragg sat down next to his coach at the table, the coach leaned over and "whispered" (there were mics), "hey, those arent adidas" while gesturing towards Bragg's feet.

Sorry but it had to do with the fact he wasn't a first choice recruit just like Blakeney. Really doubt Addias had much to do with anything . He wasn't going to get an unconditional offer like Zimmerman or Newman , Skal ect.

Sorry, but you're wrong. He had a legitimate offer. Cal watched and visited many times. Adidas played a big role in his decision.

I am sure Self really wanted a rub from this commitment to get other top players to Kansas out of this class. Bragg stating Kentucky first and having that quick little melt down took a little gas out of that commitment's impact.

Personally, I think Calipari really wanted Bragg, but I may not be as knowledgeable or in tune with recruiting as some of the other posters on this board. With that said, as I stated in another post, UK will land an equally talented young man who will be a productive contributor here at UK. While Calipari has been absolutely astonishing in recruiting, the fact of the matter is that you can't get EVERY single recruit you want. Congrats to KU, you finally beat UK at something this year. Haha! In all seriousness, nice pick by KU.

Yeah noting when he signs his LOI will be a huge clue. If he delays that then maybe he will be right where Jones was.
