The BWI team talking about the players who are NOT out for the season and their health. Who are the players who are out for the year? I didn't know anyone has been announced out for the year.

Who are the guys injured who are not out for the year - missing games or playing at well below normal?

Closely guarded secrets. Similar to the codes attached to the nuclear football. I interpret "long term" injury as out for the season. The reason for the new terminology could be the extra games if one advances through the playoffs. So theoretically, a player with a long term injury could recover and play in January???

I believe that is the reasoning as well.
