The results so far this season is what we were afraid of when we found out we were hiring Pope. He has never won anything of substance. His resume highlight was finishing in sixth place in the B12.

Now we are struggling recruiting out of state five stars. He can’t close a deal.

One thing is for sure - he has almost no chance with the vocal minority doing their thing. Neither will the next coach.

Are you retarded? What does the “vocal minority doing their thing” even mean? Seriously, wtf are you talking about?
He is talking about a bunch of our fans acting like they want to fire the guy after 2 bad games in November. I am pissed too, but good lord settle the hell down give him a chance to right the ship. We have not even had our complete team take the floor yet. If people are ready 2 run someone out of town after 2 bad losses no one is ever going to want to take this job hell it ain't like big names were throwing themselves at us last time out.

I don’t want Pope fired, though he doesn’t appear to have a cohesive relationship with his team and that’s highly concerning, his coaching seems to have regressed some from last year as well.

2 bad games give me a damn break we look like in both games we didn't even belong in the same stratosphere with either team! Considering what was said that was spent on this team we shouldn't have to worry being down to 2 guys to look as bad as we have in both games. We were basically ran out of the gym in the first 10 mins of each game. I don't think having Lowe and Jayden is going to make that much of a difference as referenced above as soon as Pope left BYU their NIL fund shot up and they brought in the #1 player this year... This is all kind of red flags especially since Pope had no kind of resume when we hired him to coach here at UK. I hope the guy turns it around but geez we can't even be competitive when we play a team with a pulse!

It is a fact byu improved when they hired the hottest young name in the nba. Talent immediately started rolling in and they have an offense that showcases players' talent to the nba.

They will absolutely be in the mix late in march. Hopefully we will turn it around and be there too.

Pope could fill the roster with 1 stars and go 0-32, and that clown would still make of fool of himself defending his narrative 🤣

I think the problem isnt just losing games. Its more alarming than that. Its team preparation, a real lack of recruiting, and just overall not really having control.

MSU gave UK one of it's most lopsided beatings in a while. We were never in that game aside from a 5 minute run. Even in Cals tenure, there werent many games like that.

The only positive that maybe changed the outcome here, is that we are without our PG Lowe, and another guy we went all in on (JQ) isnt healthy yet. But im very concerned that even if we had them last night, it might not have mattered.

This feels less like a "oh he needs some more time" and more like "this wasnt the right hire".

And further, we've had 3 games already where we looked completely overwatch and disinterested. Say what you want about Cal, but I dont recall his teams ever playing like that for this many games in a season (sans covid year). He may have made mistakes, antiquated offense, but the team fought. And they almost always made runs in game. Thats the problem here, wete not seeing that with this team at all.
