They took a chance on an NBA guy. Kentucky could’ve easily taken a chance at Frank Vogel, an elite defensive NBA coach who won a title in LA.

He’s a G league coach wasn’t he? I know nba connections are the top way to recruiting high level elites now. That dude at BYU I will look to see what he did in the pros but whatever it made his a helluva recruiter and great coach. I say we just trade coaches
I’d kill to give Frank Vogel a chance. I don’t know if he’d take the job, he’s probably holding out for another NBA coaching job. But he’s an exceptional defensive coach. Despite being one of the worst teams in the league, the Mavericks have a top 10 defense in the NBA.
A guy who coached Lebron James to a championship has to mean something to recruits.
He was the suns top assistant and the hottest up and comer in the nba. He was a great hire.
