BYU's NIL money

Been saying this for a long time. All you need to do is remember that in CFB, they paid their Walk Ons enough NIL $ they were equal to a scholarship. BYU has so much $ it's insane but you have to abide by their rules/code of honor and are most people disciplined enough to do so--even for high price? We know that answer. But AJ Dybantsa and Xavion Staton are coming to next year's team too. Kevin Young is selling the NBA path and people will listen even more after this year's performance from him/their program. Got a feeling they'll be fine with winning and look past the Jim McMahon like culture that comes with it until someone at head of the school decides that it's time to return to the Faith based roots of the University. Until then....bring on the winning.

You're delusional.
Kentucky has 7 million with just profit sharing alone for next year and had 5 million this past year without profit sharing. So who’s the real delusional troll that constantly posts about we have no NIL but has no facts to back it up? What a sad life “trust me be we have no money” he says to strangers on a message board for a month straight.

It’s strange that our fans keep comparing Kentucky’s season to Arkansas. Everyone wants to measure popes first year against Cal’s at Arkansas. But no one ever talks about BYU. They are thriving in pope’s absence and we are all just pretending it’s not happening. I’m not crapping on pope. I just think we may not be seeing the forest for the trees. It also proves that cal dominates the psyche of this fan base and he can’t retire soon enough.

Revenue sharing is not a competitive advantage in paying players and has nothing to do with NIL. You don't even know the term. You're not going to convince me you understand the concept. And my posts are clearly not meant for you. You'd be best to just put me on ignore. My feelings won't be hurt a bit. See, that's because my life is really incredible. I don't need people to like what I have to say on the internet for my self-confidence. I have plenty of real people in my life that respect me.

Some posters even ones above are just Cal fans and need to go root for Cal. They pretend to be Kentucky fans but aren't. Even some mentioned above. BYU's success this year where pope coached 6 or so of their current players. Maybe has something to do with Pope.
There's definitely some remaining Cal fans in this thread. They never say anything positive about UK. It's all gloom and doom.

Some of these people seemingly want Pope to fail so they can be "right" about Cal.

I'm a fan of the program. Coaches come and go.

When NIL started I figured it would be the big programs like Texas that would have a massive financial advantage. It never even occurred to me that teams like BYU and Norte Dame could spend the church's money to buy players. Quite the oversight on my part.

Yet not a single person on this message board respects you. It is a competitive advantage especially in the SEC when most teams are using more of their share on football and UK will use a little more on basketball. This board clearly isn’t meant for you as all you do is disagree with people that we have any NIL to spend at all yet we are getting highly ranked recruits, transfers and have put together a top team in the NIL era.

Revenue sharing is way more than $7 million next year. And every school that UK competes with will also have this money to play with (or an amount close to it). That money is a wash. The real money is above and beyond that in NIL.

Why would some one that is a Calipari supporter just hang out on a Kentucky message board. Do you know how crazy that sounds? Just because not every fan believes the program is going to be ok in the NIL department doesn’t make the Calipari supporters. His name is brought up more on this board than when he coached here.
Honestly, I don’t know who or what to believe when it comes to NIL and how much UK has or other teams.

It’s 22.5 million per school to divide between their athletics departments. Most are allocating around 6-7 million to Men’s college basketball.

BYU picked up a massive donor to their NIL when Pope left (unrelated form all accounts) so their situation changed dramatically. I believe that’s why you don’t hear a lot of comparisons. Also same conference etc.

Nothing in it for them.
It would also have to go through a lot of people to happen.
1 person at the company couldn't make the call to contribute to UK's NIL
Auto industry struggles, no idea of Logan aluminum, fruit of the loom maybe

Notre Dame has Deeeeep pockets and a wealthy fan base. They will pump loads into the football program.

Who are the industry names you think could help?
There just aren't any in this state.
I stated a few in an earlier post. In addition to what I previously posted, a third of the top 100 food processing companies are in Kentucky, UPS, Equine industry, and manufacturing.
