I'm not going to link his latest article (if you can call it that), the guy is a tool. But I sent a tweet asking how much it would cost to punch him in the face. Still waiting on an answer but I'm already trying to figure out how to raise the money. GoFundMe?

Intelligence clearly doesn't make up for other deficiencies, such as kindness or integrity. Clay is the prime example of that.

Re: Clay Travis... ugh, I hate even typing his name

Clay Travis is not worthy of a post nor in responding to in a tweet. I suggest the better approach is NOT to give any notoriety to urchins like Clay Travis, Pat Forde, john Feinstein, Jeff Goodman, Pete Thamel or any of the other "haters". These guys love to provoke a reaction from sports fans as in doing so it furthers their careers. They absolutely thrive on fans tweeting, facebooking, blogging or message boarding their names. They virtually beg for "hits".to their mean spirited diatribes. My suggestion? Don't get baited. Don't headline a message board post, a tweet, a blog, or a facebook post about any of them. The last thing these guys want us to do is to ignore them. Thus, ignore them. We are not going to change their opinion and they will only use our our responses to their baiting statements against our fanbase.

Tell us how much you know about his law career? Did he get out because he wanted to get out or because he had to???

Such a failure in "journalism" that he owns and operates one of the most successful independent sports blogs out there.

You really make yourself look stupid when you make ignorant comments. Nobody has to like Travis but to call him a "failure" is utterly stupid. Travis has been insanely successful at doing what he loves to do.

So tell us ...is Forbes writing about you?

Re: Clay Travis... ugh, I hate even typing his name

I very much suspect the way Travis antagonizes the Bama fan base and the UK fan base was intentional and and profit driven. Those two fan bases are known as the two craziest and the two that take time to monitor the net and respond in mass and in rage at the slightest perceived slight - in other words, auto traffic. Or, $$$. Now, given the hostility of the net, I have no doubt that by now Travis truly does dislike Bama and UK after the ugly give and take he has had with the two fan bases....

I wonder how well Travis has done financially relative to Matt Jones? For example, from the Forbes link above, I see that "Travis has turned Outkick, and in turn himself, into a multi-million dollar business that not only offers gear for its supporters but also continuing education (CLE) online sports credit for lawyers. The site garners upwards of two million unique readers a month as the 'Official College Football Blog' of FOX Sports."

Wonder how many "unique readers a month" KSR has?.....

Travis is smart because he hasn't made his site one team specific....and probably contrary to popular belief, UT fans don't see him as such a fan boy. Sports is a business with Travis. If you recall, he included UT in his 10 Dumbest Fan bases list. Yes, he grew up a UT fan and probably likes UT more than any other team...but they are all just pawns in his game. He doesn't "hate" Bama...hell, either last year or the year before he took part in their Spring game.

Some people get his humor, others don't. He baits fans and fans take the bait. He creates the platform for people to make idiots of themselves. People send him nasty tweets and threats...he just turns around an retweets and publishes those messages. People enjoy seeing others make fools of themselves. Travis baits UK, Bama, UT, Arkansas, WVU, et al fans because he knows doing so he will catch internet gold doing so.

Exactly.

Folks, bashing works better if you're accurate with your criticisms. Travis might be an *******, but he certainly is not a failure--claiming otherwise just makes you look petty and foolish. And he didn't fail as a lawyer either, he got out because he found something else that gave him a more profitable and enjoyable life.

Eddie George had sex with Clay Travis' wife. That is why he is always hating. True story.

It appears the OP took the bait from Clay hook, line, and sinker. Win for Clay Travis. He did get the OP to click on his web site.

Nope, sorry. I did hear about it from friends on facebook, however. They might have given him a click but I haven't.

Well as I mentioned in another thread I had never heard of the gent till on Catspause about a week ago so out of curiosity I listened to his little call in program, he is a very polished and wily talker and as he hosts a talk show host he had little trouble handling the callers who did as he wished just got mad and threatened to whip him, which I am not so sure might not happen if they happen to run across him after which he will then sue them. It is something that will not interest me in the future and I am surprised that the SEC network would allow someone like that airspace.

There's about 5 on here that do this no matter the topic, and you can literally expect them to be a contrarian. There's nothing enlightening about a "fan" taking issue with everyone for everything. It just means you are ate up in your own narcissistic outlook. They know who they are.

Yep, there's a handfull of them. It's really strange. They're pretty much a broken record, all you have to do is see their handle and you know what they'll say. They always defend the criticism/comments but don't want any response from UK fans so they search it out here, argue and reprimand. Apparently they don't like conversation, just dictation.

Add Lachlan to the list. With every win his mental crisis expands irrationally. He'll implode before he leaves Louisville. He hates Tiger Woods and Cal.

I don't like woods, can't fault him on that....

Fuzz aka Rq is the biggest douchebag on this site.

He stole money from Brady by welching on a bet, who organizes the UK ticket giveaways.

The guy is lower than whale shiz.

He's also a vandy fan first. Just a lame guy all around.

Precisely why some on here argue. Because most on here take issue with everyone that doesn't say UK is the only team that exists. Never read or listened to Clay Travis, but if he is making millions of dollars and people on here are talking about him, I'd say he is not stupid. What most of us fail to understand is that for BBN, UK basketball is a way of life. For most of the world, it is a game that doesn't affect them at all.
