Saw a post on an OU facebook group about that. Never really thought about it before.
Think about it.
Thoughts?

Cale has been invaluable for OU and
it was never more evident than at the Alamo Bowl. He stepped up big time and called a great game as OC. We didn’t miss Riley in the least. And he has always been a good person to boot.

I'm not going to totally discount Riley's capability in regards to QB's but I think a lot of OC's would have looked like a genius with Baker and Kyler on their roster.

Look at the last few QB's that Riley worked with in Jalen Hurts and Spencer Rattler. The last half of the season when Jalen was playing for us, my memory is he was terrible at throwing the ball and our offense was pretty uninspiring. Rattler went from Heisman front runner to backup and then transferred.

Here's to hoping he comes back to earth at USC

USC will continue the Riley tradition of a great offense that panics and abandons the run when things get tight and a defense that can't step up when it matters. That will probably be good enough in the PAC 12 but not in the playoffs. I see several pac 12 titles with no championship wins in their future.
