Even if you cut off California from receiving any water from the Colorado river, you'd still have Nevada and Arizona siphoning it off - and damming it up for electricity generation.
I understand that and didn't mean it literally.

I told my former father in law, who lived in Huntington Beach, that my favorite part of California is the 2 inches that erode into the ocean each year. I did enjoy visiting there twice a year though.
Take out the San Francisco and Hollywood people and I bet most Californians are pretty cool.

California is one of the few states that pays a lot more in federal taxes than it receives. Kentucky is the opposite of that.
