I know Arkansas fans that are knowledgeable and were open minded about what to expect from Calipari. I think they richly so, thought the hire was good, but to take it with a grain of salt.
Nobody was (is) telling them Cal is going to bring the kind of championship title level teams like Cal had at Kentucky. And the criticism following Cal around has been picked up by most that pay any attention to college basketball.
So far, Cal is delivering exactly what was expected, and it's not the kind of awesome upgrade hoped for.
I just don't see Hog fans putting up with "Calisms" before they give him up.
They'll soon see, if not already, that Cals system is antiquated and his philosophy not going to deliver the kind of success they want.
Early exits of the NCAAT, devaluing sec titles and sec tournament runs, that's his norm. Forget anything positive from him
Excuses are his schtick. Poor team performances are more the norm, and the style?
What style?
When you're constantly behind the 8 ball without experienced players, on the road, everyone learning just to try and catch up with the rest, it's no recipe for success.
Hog fans will be disappointed in the end, however long they allow it to go on. It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts.
