Via portal. Was a top 40 player out of high school. Big flip to get him after he signed with Texas.

He was a bust.

He fulfilled his one year contract. If ya'll haven't, watch the recent interview with Rick Petino on the current state of college athletics.

Not a surprise since if you could not get minutes on last years team, what future do you have here? It will interesting, to see how he does at his next stop and develops.

Thought he showed potential. Was looking forward to his development and hopeful mesh with Ellis. Bummer.

Good point.

If you could not carve a niche out on one of our worst teams in the program’s history, then you gotta be pretty bad.

it will be interesting to see if goes somewhere else and does well. Probably not, but would be an indictment.

Not shocked at all. Huge swing and a miss here. If he goes somewhere else and produces, this will make Paris look really bad. I only bring up that possibility based on his ranking, as he showed nothing that makes me think he was going to produce anytime soon for us.

We’ve had some guys in football and basketball we had high hopes for and they fell flat. Cam Scott should be in the top tier of that conversation.

I feel like he really didn’t show much potential…we were all just desperate to see some potential based on the hype. If he weren’t a Top 40 recruit, we wouldn’t have blinked at him transferring.

Scott has the athleticism to be a player, but dude just could not make a shot. Don't know if he was struggling with the transition from H.S., but you have to make a shot at some point.

Cam Scott was not physically ready for the SEC. He's too small and only weighs about 150 lbs. He does not have the body to be in a physical league like the SEC. No big loss.

I heard he landed somewhere today, but can’t find it anywhere . I wish he would have stayed, but he did need to add 15-20 lbs.
