His high school teammate committed to tosu. I wonder how many receivers osu wants to take and maybe that is why Brown has not decommitted yet. The Babb kid is a higher rated recruit than Brown but missed his senior year to a torn ACL.

Not sure what is going on and if there has been any communication between him and the staff. All I have heard for the last month is that he is going to decommitt, but as of right now he is still committed.
I think you are right. OSU has 21 commits and 2 WR commits. They don’t have any WR graduating. I think this is a case of them trying to slow play Brown, in case they have a spot open late. It will be interesting to see if he signs in December or waits until Feb for OSU.

Good question. I have no idea, don’t know OSU’s roster that we’ll, but I’m sure some of the more informed posters do.
OSU fan here. The staff writers on our website think we will take 3 WRs in this class. There is talk that Parris Campbell and Johnny Dixon might both declare early for the draft. Babb's status for next year is unclear due to his injury. He could be a possible redshirt. Trevon Grimes, a freshman, left the team during the year to attend to family matters.His status is also unclear. We probably will sign 2 (Smith, Babb) in the early signing period and then wait to see if a 3rd is needed in February. We actually played 6 WRs this year.
Brown just confirmed he will sign on December 20. I don't believe he has a committable offer from OSU. Take it FWIW.
I will definitely take Cam Brown but signing a kid that would rather be playing for OSU but just settle for us because OSU didn’t have room at the time, kind of bothers me. He’s got the talent, that’s for sure but will he fully buy in and give it his all is my worry. Just wonder if his heart will ever be truly with the Huskers. We keep saying we only want kids that truly want to be “N”, well Cam Brown maybe be “N” but we are not his first choice. If we sign him it’s because OSU never gave him his committable offer and we was his best offer.
Maybe that also light a fire in him to beat OSU next year, many kids don't get their first choice,
That’s the way it is sometimes, very few kids actually get to go to their dream school. After some blood, sweat and tears with his new coaches and teammates it won’t matter.
Is Brown the third WR or do you still have others higher on your board? Is he a take now?
Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to always be the case. With the last three regimes at NU, we've seen a number of multi-star recruits that other top schools back away from and then we sweep in and grab them only to find out why other teams' interest had waned. The evidence has shown up on the field and also those kids that haven't even seen the field. I would rather have a lesser developed HS kid with equal long term potential and more fire in his belly who is "all N".
