Hoping we can heal up soon and get to see our total team. Will have a completely different look with a rim protector and lottery type low post presence. Desperately need our PG 16 & 7 ( last season) floor general which allows our off guards to play naturally. Also get that 11 & 7 PF back. 3 All SEC types back in the starting lineup. Surrounded by real good role players. Hoping to see it maybe this month! Should be real good.
Those 3 out there will cure a bunch of ills.
Impossible to take 2 or 3 starters - arguably the best 2 or 3 players off any team and not feel it .

I swear there are some people on this site who just want to crap on anything UK does. Maybe Pope works and maybe he doesnt but regardless we will know soon enough. I will not be negative until then 24/7. If others are then you have to question their intentions.

Lot of if’s on here.
if JQ plays and he is an all American
If Lowe gets healthy and shows he’s better than he’s been
If MO actually puts effort in and stops shooting 3’s
If Aberdeen stops shooting 3’s
If Oweh actually plays with effort
if BarnFART actually fires himself
If Pope starts holding players accountable and not coddling them

then maybe we do something. Lotta it’s

I’m semi interested.

Thing is, most of our guys have been practicing together since June and still don’t have the basics of their roles in our system down. That’s coming up on seven months they’ve been going over this stuff together.

JQ hasn’t even been reported to have started practicing that I’ve seen except for “with grad assistants.” There are only a little more than three months left in the whole season even including deep postseason play.

He’s a great guy with a **** ton of upside. But I don’t know how realistic it will be for us to see a lot of his upside.

Jaland Lowe I will never believe can be fully healthy for us, whatever that might look like for him, without first both getting that surgery and spending at least a year recovering. Forget about whether I expect him to be a serious game changer this year. At this point I’m worried about whether he’ll be able to contribute usefully as a strong backup next year. Get him the freaking surgery already.

Who knows about turf toe. But at least everyone else has a chance he could contribute at his highest level.

Don’t think Lowe is the answer this year. He appears very timid. JJ needs a lot of play at point.

You're 100% correct. Some people just wait for a new post to show up so they can post negative comments in it. Seems they can't stand that everyone isn't negative and constantly bashing our coach or the team.

Don’t think so! Just a reasonable outlook for a supportive UK fan.
I wake up everyday and look to see if maybe it’s happened. But no. It hasn’t. We’re still stuck with this low life. An AD that handcuffs his major sports teams ability to compete and recruit. Has deals made that kill a blue blood but make him wealthy ok then way out And he is still employed, not investigated, nothing.

It’s like a dream.

Biggest if to me right now is what IF we offer Oats or Pearl?

I just don’t see how things drastically change. At the end of the day this team cannot shoot. Having JQ back won’t change this. We can miss wide open 3s with or without him.

Have you noticed that UK players don’t get better very fast, kids have taken a whole season with wrist and ankle injuries but get better by the draft. Bench may be a good place to hide a deficient game and keep draft potent

I honestly am going to a movie tonight and taping the game. I’ll check the score and if we win I will watch. I would never have dreamed in my life that I would take a UK game and not watch it especially and Indiana/Kentucky game. That’s how I know this staff has to go.

Yeah Lowe is one screen away from not playing again. I haven’t seen anything from him that shows he will be the difference maker we need, certainly not hurt and missing 3-4 games in a row all year.

Agree and it's going to happen. Beat us early and fear us in March. I would love March Madness to be the revenge tour for the Cats. Imagine UL, MSU, ZAGS and UNC rematches? At least a couple. 4-8 seed. Full strength and a 8 seed in Duke bracket? Ha
8 seed? We would be lucky to get a play in game right now. We have no resume and it’s almost January.

People need to reserve their judgment until this team gets to full strength. We saw how much of an impact missing Mo D has based on what he did against Indiana tonight. People acting like JQ is some token player are in for a surprise. JQ is a legit NBA prospect what you guys have all been crying that Pope doesn't get. JQ's post-presence and elite rim protection are next-level! His minutes may be capped to 10-15 in his first games back. Barring any setbacks, he will get over the 20-minute mark. He's not being rushed back in order for him to be ready for the stretch run. JQ is no Bradshaw or Wynard disappointment, or a Cal/Sharpe stunt stringing the fans along.

It's foolish to put all your hopes on a player who tore his ACL 9 months ago. Even when he comes back its going to take at least a month before he starts to get in game shape and can play without worrying about his knee.

Perhaps the best part of last night was seeing JLowe take a couple of hard screens and keep on ticking. Dang, he also had a defender basically hanging on his arm driving to the basket and he fought through it. He might just be able to play the rest of the season????
