based on the kook flat earth thread ... what are your favorite dingbat theories that you either once believed, have lent credence too temporarily, or barring those still recognize as a pretty damn fun exploration of a way of thinking.

Mine is that there is an more ancient unknown civilization of which the other ancient cultures were born. I don't buy it, but it isn't the worst explanation for cultural similarities in far flung places.

Another neat one is that man evolved as a water mammal/ape. This theory is based on that unlike other primates we have less hair and fat outside muscular layers (like dolphins) and a few other things. There is actually a TED talk on this by an old anthropologist.

Might not be too far fetched, but I stick to my thought that we didn't just have one Big Bang (apparently it's not my original idea as others have written about it, I just never heard that they had. shocking, I know)

If expansion and contraction occur, and the universe has been around forever, then it seems to follow that line of thinking.

I have a hard time with the 'multiple universe' thing.

I don't believe it's not butter.

Seriously though, I'm one of the believers that the truth is out there. If we are the only living things in the universe, the creator wasted a metric assload of space.

That Nessie could have actually been not too long ago given there are other prehistoric animals still alive . Not now though given technology and everyone having a smart phone so, pictures should have surfaced by now.

Building 11 never got hit by a plane, so how did it pancake itself? This is one I've restled with for a few years

I think the Hubble has shown expansion from every direction and helped form a pretty solid consensus the original bang is still occurring.

Dark matter, now that's a real brain churner.

The craziest was a person telling me that a cummins could out pull a duramax. I told him that if you compared them to a power stroke then neither one could pull a wart off my ***.

You should study the Nephilim. They are the ancient race of half-breeds, half man half fallen angel who are the source of the anomalous findings in archaeology. Rob Skiba is a good source to get started with.

I'm serious when I say bushy bill is quickly rising in the ranks of quality posting. Given enough time here he could become legendary.

Was going to say this exact same thing.

Has quickly become one of my favorite posters.
