First player to ever win back-to-back NCAA Championships -- on different teams!

Hey, it's late April. Just having a fun day dream.

But it is exciting that Kentucky has a team assembled by Mark Pope that makes this idea something within the realm of plausibility.

Our projected starting PG has a career FG% of 38% and a career 3 PT% of 29 while our starting projected SG has a career 3 PT % of 33%. And this is in an offense that shoots a lot of threes. If Pope doesn't drastically change how to be offense runs this team has a decent chance(15-20%) to miss the NCAA Tourney...let alone win the NCAA Tourney.

If this year's team shoots anywhere close to the amount of threes that we attempted this past year, no this team will not make the NCAA tournament. If Pope changes the offense to play to this teams strengths(finish around the basket) then this team could be solid and have another Sweet Sixteen appearance. Next year's team will not be an all-time great Kentucky basketball team though

Damn. You really got us there.

If only we had a point guard in our program's history who made multiple Final Fours, started for multiple Final Four teams, started on a national title team, and was also a limited three point threat to use as an example to refute your negativity.

Derek Anderson was a 37% career 3 PT shooter. Also Mills, Sheppard and Walker could all shoot the ball. Also Wayne Tuner played on the most talented college basketball roster of all time.

DA didn’t play in the tournament. And Walker never shot threes until he was a pro from my recollection. You stay negative though man.

Anyone who looks at something like career 3-point shooting percentage in a vacuum, and projects a team's chances of missing the tournament from that, knows nothing whatsoever about basketball.

I could write 5,000 words about how foolish that is, but I'll settle for citing one example --and how it plays out next year:

Lamont Butler shot 30.1 percent from 3 the year before he came to Kentucky, and 39.1 percent at Kentucky in Mark Pope's system. I'd be very comfortable projecting a similar increase in Jaland Lowe's 3-point percentage simply by watching a lot of video of his form, seeing the kinds of shots he was forced to take at Pittsburgh, and projecting him within Mark Pope's system.

Turner started on a 1998 team that was far from "the most talented of all time." That would be the 1996 team, and Turner barely played on that squad. Mills hardly played for that squad. My point is that Turner was a significant contributor on a team that was rather pedestrian from three.

The national title team that Turner started on was the 1998 team.

That team only shot 37% from three as a team.

We can hit that mark or surpass it next year.

By the way, Lowe shot 35% from three as a freshman. He's capable of making shots in a better offense.

There's the defining punch on @Bigkyfan10 in a third round knockout.

We heard you the first time you posted this bs that you copy and pasted here. What's life like living in that vacuum and not thinking critically?
