Can we do something about the amount of new game threads?

So many good conversations get lost and fall off the four page max we have due to so many posters creating threads OUTSIDE of the game thread that doesn't even get replies. Can we pin some good non-game threads or start deleting the hundreds of new threads for one game?

Feel free to delete this one after/before the game. I just find it bothersome that so many good discussions get lost because posters feel every thought deserves a new thread.

I pretty much just leave the game thread up the whole game but in the past I have noticed the spate of threads people start that should go in the game thread. Just don't understand it. Oh, here is a random thought, I'll start a thread about it.

I think good conversations get lost in the very long game threads. I like them as separate topics.

Except not every random thought deserves a new thread when they are all exactly the same. Basically, any good conversation we had during the week or the day before is gone because of this crap.

I rarely use the game threads. They move to fast and you can't always keep up with replies to certain messages. I don't start a bunch of topics though. If something is kinda big then I do. I don't have any issue even with lots of topics started anyways. They don't bother me and it is easier to read what you want and respond to whatever that way.

You all obviously don't access the site from a phone much during games. The game thread is absolutely unreadable on the mobile platform because it puts it all on one page--a page that often gets truncated with errors at the bottom when it gets a lot of posts. Not saying that makes it ok, but I appreciate the one-off thought threads when I'm on my phone because the game thread is impossible to use.
