Cancer is Scary... Pt 3

Five years ago today my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. Reality took a step to the side while life grooved on.

I used this board as an outlet after we found out. I started a "Cancer is Scary" thread. I received tremendous support and incredible advice from so many people. An oncologist from Texas and a radiology student from UK relayed much advice.

Threads used to truncate, so there was a "Cancer is Scary Pt 2. I "shared/vented" my thoughts through her 7 surgeries, 8 chemo treatments and radiation.

Much love was shown and the availability of venting/support/advice on this board was very appreciated and well timed.

"Cancer is Scary Pt 3" is an absolute humble/brag. My wife has been a survivor for 5 years today. We have celebrated today like an anniversary. This board got me through some tough times, as ridiculous as that sounds (however true), and I felt like spreading the joy!

Cancer sucks,
but God is good!

I can't remember the screen names of either the Dr in Texas or the UK rad student.

Seems like the Texan was Austin(something)??? Probably wrong.

I would love to extend my gratitude to both if you happen to read this.

Thoughts and prayers op. I've been very sick myself before, to the point where they nor did I know if I was going to make it. Keep the faith my friend, there is a plan for us all and God will take care of you

My wife has had a lot of cancer on her side of the family, so I know how awesome it is to hit 5 years cancer free. Congrats to you and your wife and I pray that you see infinite more years to come not having to ever deal with that horrible ordeal.
