Copied and pasted from scout forum:

WHOSE SAYS IT WAS SO BAD? HOW MANY TEAMS HAS THE TALENT UNC HAS? THEY HAD UK BEAT THEN GAVE IT AWAY. THEY HAVE A GOOD TEAM AND NOT MANY VISITING TEAMS WIN AT THE SMITH CENTER. SUCKS THAT WE LOST A CLOSE ONE, BUT I LIKE THE IMPROVEMENT WE MADE THIS GAME OVER HOW WE'VE LOOKED THE PAST SEVERAL GAMES. I LOVE IT, ALL THE BASKETBALLS EXPERTS HAD DUKE AND WISCONSIN PENCILED IN AS # 1 SEEDS.

UNC never led in that game. We led by 15 at the half, and they never got closer than 6 or 8 in the second half. Card fan ability to disregard rational thought is incredible.

Yes they had UK beat... then the game started.

Louisville fans are beyond delusional when it comes to anything related to UK. They can't even think straight when it comes to the Cats.

By the way, these Cards need to acknowledge something else here now that they're in the ACC... Ricky is 0-fer UNC. He has never beat them. His record versus Duke isn't much better.

Bwahahaha that is funny. I was actually trying to think at what point the UL fan was referring to "they had UK beat" ...

I went to the recap for the game : (headlines said it all)

No. 1 Kentucky rolls No. 21 North Carolina 84-70
The Wildcats never trailed and eventually built a 19-point second half lead, though North Carolina got within 66-57 midway through.... (this had to be that key point where they "had us beat")

The Wildcats answered with a 14-5 run over 5:56 for another safe cushion.....

'They were far more superior on the defensive end than our offense was,'' North Carolina coach Roy Williams said. ''I thought they dictated what we did on the offensive end with their athleticism, quickness, strength and size.''

Ilwildcat said it above, they had UK beat, then the game started ... that about sums it up best. The fact is, everyone was saying (I guess with the exception of lil' brother OTIS fans) that UK dominated from start to finish, was never threatened and was never in any trouble or that anyone remotely thought UK would lose that game at any time.

Man they are delusional and ATE UP when it comes to UK.

ul is going to soon learn what it means to play in a real conference. All the years of playing in the second rate and over hyped conferences has come to an end. The loss to UNC is just one of many that they will experience this season. Their dreams of being a No. 1 seed are over and a No. 2 seed is highly unlikely. It will end up maybe a 3 and possibly even a 4.

The dirty redbirds will be lucky to be a 4 seed by the time conference play is over, same old crap,Pitino pads the win column in OOC play with cupcake city and then they lose when they face a good team. I expect Duke to roll them,UNC will beat them again, not sure what their schedule is but Virginia will beat them, and probably at least 2 or 3 losses to middle of the ACC Teams.

They better get used to getting reamed in Chapel Hill and Cameron Indoor.ACC has always protected their darlings on "Terbacker" Road

UL has zero bench....the starters are playing like 37 minutes a game and their starting center still sucks. would shock me to see them hit a wall at some point, not have their legs down the stretch.

This is classic Card fan logic...after each loss it's 1) Refs made terrible calls let's break it down with these 27 screen shots and/or 2) Hey guys, our team played hard and competed, they will get better in March....oh wait, it is March? Well we have a solid group of guys for next year and CRP will add Burger Boys and Trez is coming back for a 7th year and we are about to sign 3 guys who are soaring up the rankings.

Late in the game the UNC crowd booed as loudly as I've ever heard them boo when U of L got away with one of their hack attacks. All those teams in the ACC are going to be asking themselves what they were thinking when they invited the Dirty Birds in. Wish U of L had to play at Duke this year. With Coach K playing for 1,000. They would get called for 30 fouls.

Acknowledged and point conceded. Now, please acknowledge, I'm pretty sure 3 of those now 6 defeats occurred while he was coaching UK. As for Duke, Pitino is 1-1 against Duke at UofL, 0-1 against Duke at UK.

I can't say that I'm surprised. Lulzville linebeards are a special breed of stupid. I think FernCreekFan is fast approaching Zipper's current position as "World's dumbest Lulzville fan", that guy has done everything from wishing death on Vitale after their loss to UNC, to making himself believe that "the better team lost on the 27th".
Frankly, I hope they have an absolutely dreadful season, and I hope they get stuck back in UK's bracket as an 8 or 9 seed.
Eternal beatings from big brother.

The Big East was far from a "second rate and over-hyped conference". That's ridiculous.

However, what UofL is not used to dealing with is playing in conference road games that aren't basically glorified neutral site games in terms of atmosphere within the arena.

Big East teams generally have mediocre home court environments. So many of those programs played their "big games" in half empty NBA arenas located off campus or they played in a half empty and tiny on campus venue.

The road in the ACC is a lot nastier due to the fact that those arenas are on campus with a heavy student presence. It's basically like the SEC if more people gave a crap.

You missed one. Anas Mahmoud has a very fascinating skill-set, he's much like Anthony Davis

It's the greatest collection of talent the college basketball world has ever seen!
Now if only they could get a big man, Rick and Lulzville could bring college basketball to its knees, just like senore thinks!

Weren't these the same idiots saying that the Tar Heels were a horrible team after we steamrolled them? Now that UNC beats them, the Tar Heels are world beaters.

Steeler I know it's hard for ul fans to understand anything that makes sense but the poster said "Ricky" was 0 for UNC, do you need help in reasoning posts over here?

I wouldn't say it was second rate, but it was most certainly over-hyped.

So are you trying to say that Pitino's record at UL is in some way comparable to his record at UK? Or are you trying to say he's the ACC's ***** before he even gets started in conference? Just trying to understand...

Sure Steelers. I'm aware of that and acknowledge it. I'm sure I was really upset back in the 90s when we lost to UNC with Rick at the helm. But is that supposed to bother ME today? He's not our coach anymore.

My point is that Louisville just joined the ACC and you guys can all brag about how great that conference is, but you guys are not even SECOND fiddle in that conference. You're 3rd at best. That conference is Duke-Carolina.

You can't forget that when we beat UNC, UL fans kept saying that UNC was overrated and that our win wasn't impressive. Their story on UNC has changed now. UNC is really good and almost had us beat so the UL loss to UNC isn't a bad loss...Ours wasn't a good win at the time and now their loss isn't bad....They flip and flop more than a fish out of water.

Since K lost, he won't be playing for 1000 against UL...... Isn't that right? They might have counted their chickens before they hatched... They were looking for UK to lose so bad, that they forgot to include Duke and UV into the conversation....

Rick Pitino took over UK after Eddie (THE SHAME) Sutton, and our best players were John P. and RIchie Farmer.... Their Jerseys are hanging in Rupp to remind us of who stayed with UK through hard times.... Actually, Pitino could out run Richie Farmer backwards... So, the law had no trouble tracking him down.....
...

Pitino lost to Roy Williams by around 60 points because, Pitino refused to pull in his full court press, and Roy ran the score up..... Pitino got two tech fouls and was tossed after he and Roy had some words... Rick's excuse for not pulling in the press was that he was installing his system and would not play a zone, or any other system... Which, he has since reseeded that philosophy... UK fans at the time admired Rick for doing that...

I still like Rick and what he done for UK... That's where it ends.. Coming back to our enemy, even though, I do think the man really remembered how happy he was in Kentucky... IMO, he wanted to be in Kentucky, because he had great memories here and genuinely liked it.... You can't blame a man for that, but to think that wouldn't be a problem was his down fall...

Rick thought that he was bigger than UK, and thought that he would pull UK fans to UL, just because he coached there.... That is an ego..... Cal would never do that, because he doesn't have the ego that Rick has for one thing... No coach is bigger than UK... It wasn't a vendetta as some think, because Rick had no reason to hate UK... It was just a bad move, but you can't blame a man that wants to get as close to UK as possible....

I'm sure during that period that UK lost another game to Kansas, before Pitino recruited some players to UK, beginning with Mashburn.... If you want to call that a real game against Roy Williams that UK lost, go right ahead... Card fans are unschooled on the intricacies of college basketball....

What in the world we do for gut busting laughs if we didn't have the TARD fans. Reading their crybaby poop in their pants excuses makes it all worth while.
