Im seriously considering trying to buy tickets to attend the UL/ UK football game and was wondering if others are going and which section(s) will be visitor. I really want to sit with UL fans if at all possible. I see this shaping up to be a really big game and feeling the pull to be there.

I appreciate any insight others can provide.

In the past it has always been 211 or 210 upper and 10 or 11 lower. the seats are really not bad, we usually tailgate at the Red Mile and walk over. Its a pretty far walk, but there are shuttles to the game from the Red Mile lot. It isn't a bad trip actually, I have never had any trouble with fans or even students, just the usual mouth.

I'll be there. Bought tickets thru UofL but haven't received them yet. Like CardChipper I park at the Red Mile and walk over. The only time I ever had any issue with the Cat fans was the 07 game. Night game and everyone was drunk.

I would be going to the game, but I'll have family from Florida up for Thanksgiving so that's the reason why I'm not.

I'll be there, like others said, tailgate at the Red Miles and walk over or take shuttle depending on weather, only time I had trouble was when I decided to tailgate in the neighborhood close to the stadium in 2007 we had to walk through a tunnel of slapdick fans to get back to where we were parked and it got pretty ugly..

That's the last time we went to Lexington. Nothing worse than going to a city like that and losing a game. Thank goodness there aren't too many cities like that. We've been to all the losing games this year - sorry - but everyone has been nice, Auburn, FSU. We just avoid WVA and Lexington.
Our other away game is Pittsburgh. We've been there twice. Great beer and restaurants. Won both times.
Excited about returning.
Remember, the way the ACC schedule is set - for now - we don't return to Pittsburgh for 10 years! I don't even want to think about how old I'll be then:)
Next year, the only 'odd' team on our schedule is Duke, at home.

At this point if we win the UK game the season is a success and a must win. Anything less is not. GO CARDS!

That's the last time we went to Commonwealth too. We had been going for every game once they renewed the rivalry. We just got tired of being cussed out by 20/30 yr olds because we were wearing red, and in your face screaming FU. I will say UK behavior finally made my spouse throw away all his BB clothes. Exact quote "I don't want to be one of those fans. I'm done and I'm never coming back to this hellhole."

Im done. Last time we went was the last time UK beat us with the blown coverage for a touchdown. We had a 75 year old man and his fatass drunk wife screaming at us the whole game. I finally told him that I would kick his *** but I was afraid it might kill him. Many fans sitting around us apologized to us for having to put up with that POS which was considerate but if I continue to go to this game with those morons I will be getting in trouble and at 54 Im too old for that.

As a UK fan I'm sorry that you endured that kind of treatment and apologize for our whole fan base. It's Unfortunate with any fan base a few can make the whole look bad. There's nothing better than a good heated rivalry but at times it can always be taken to far.

First time in forever I'm not going.

Got family coming in for T-giving and going to watch at home. My wife has not wanted to go the last couple times because of the a-holes up there.

Unfortunately it goes both ways. In 06 I saw several UofL fans behaving obnoxiously towards UK fans as the Cards were crushing UK. It's a minority of both fan bases but when the games are evening games, as both 06 and 07 were, that minority fueled with a liberal supply of booze can make a whole fan base look bad. That's why I like to sit with other Cards fans at away games.

Thank you Bobcat. I had several apologies that night as there is a lot more to that story than I expressed.I have been to many UK games as I have a brother that is a season ticket holder and Im an avid college football fan. I have been to at least 40 college football stadiums and the 3 worst opposing fans are without doubt West Virginia, South Florida(because they are all kids as they have 50000 students and next is UK just because it is a heated rivalry. 90% of the Cat fans are very considerate, 20% West virginia fans are considerate and about 50% of South Florida fans are considerate IMHO.At UL we have our asswipes too for sure especially since we serve beer(Yes it would be worse if beer was sold WVU and UK, it is sold at Raymond James stadium, hell I bought a 24 ounce frozen margurita(sp) there, hell,no wonder they are nuts with the tequila and all) and it is definitely worse during UK game. I really don't know what you can do about it. They are not going to stop selling alcohol, most places are getting ready to start selling it,and Im glad because I like having a beer while watching the game. I guess its just part of the college football experience. All fanbases could take a lesson from Clemson though. They were the friendliest foe I had ever met at an away game with their southern hospitality.Heck, I have a couple of friends that met some Clemson fans at the game last year and they hit it off so well that this year they came to Louisville for a 5 day weekend and the ball game and actually stayed at their home while they were here. How often does that happen nowdays. To be honest that was me and my wife.We are now good friends who have a place to stay when we visit each others stadium. How cool would that be to be able to do that at all the away games you attend.

It's funny. At this year's Clemson game I was talking to a couple of Clemson fans and I remarked at how well I was treated by Clemson fans last year. One of them laughed and said "That's because you're not a South Carolina fan, we treat them a lot differently." All fan bases have their jerks. I agree with FC Card that WVU's are far and away the worst. I'll never go back there. I won't even go to Marshall next year just because it's the same state. When you have a rivalry though like we have with the kittens and Clemson has with USCJr. it seems like the jerks get more emboldened.

I suspect the UK game this year will be a noon start as this will not be a nationally significant game. That will significantly lessen the impact of drinking and allow us to enjoy the Card's fifth straight win in the series.

Won't be attending as we are hosting a Thanksgiving dinner that day for the in-laws, most of them YewKay fans from the hollers. But the game WILL be on, and I expect to enjoy it thoroughly. I'm already prepared for my final shot: "How does it feel to have a two hour drive thinking about a loss after a HOME game?", lol.

Since 2007 I do not attend the UK in Lexington any longer. The treatment our players and fans received that game was horrendous. It started early, last the entire game and even got worse after they won the game.

Our team buses were bombarded with beer cans and f-bombs on their way to the stadium. During the game we had ice thrown at us. At halftime my wife was shoved going down the stairs. After the game a student got in our faces screaming f-bombs.

That was enough for me. Honestly, would not miss the series one bit if it went away.

I totally agree fredburg. My new Clemson friends tell me they love to hate S Car more than the Card fans love to hate UK
