Cards vs Hilltoppers

Josh Rogers gets the start against the Hilltoppers and has pitched well. Josh went 7 innings with 5 k's and 1 BB. Gave up only 3 hits but was charged with the earned run as Philley came in relief and gave up a rbi double. Cards are up 2-1 in the top of the 8th.

Cards win 3-1 against a good Hilltopper team. Josh Rogers gets the win and Burdi gets the save. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 5th when the Cards struck first. Lyman led the offense with 2 rbi and Chittenden had 2 hits. Taylor had an rbi safety squeeze to add a run in the 8th making it 3-1. No errors tonight!

No errors goes a Lonnnnnnng way in getting wins. To me that has been an Achilles heel for the guys. Clean that up and they could potentially start to surge against better competition.
