I am not worried about his stats from the first weekend. I love that he looks healthy and back To moving how he did early in the season. This bodes well for this weekend coming up.
The most impressive thing was how good he looked covering ground on D when he had to switch on guards.
Looked lively and active, and was moving well.

And after watching the game again for the 5th time since Sunday, I just caught an awesome moment. When Butler got the steal off the deflection with 15 min to go in second half, while running the middle of the floor Carr noticed Brea behind him spotting up at 3 pt line. He is looking to
The other side at butler bringing the ball up the court and immediately is pointing over his shoulder as if to tell butler to go over the top to Brea for the 3.
Ended up getting tipped out of bounds but I just love the way we are playing.
No guarantees about friday, but with butler and Carr looking this healthy, with Chandler really finding a rhythm and confidence, and all the other pieces…
I love where we are at heading into this challenge/opportunity.
Go Big Blue!!
LFG!!

I thought he played one of the better games I have seen for a player that didn't fill up the stat sheet per se.

Was commenting to my friends in real time. Doing all the small stuff that translates to wins.
And he does it all with a smile and never demanding of getting the ball more. I really think he's just content to win. A powerful thing when a good player like that just doesn't care about anything but that.

What about that fight Carr showed early in the game in regard to going after loose balls/longer rebounds and ripping them away. That stood out to me and got me excited because, let's be honest, this UK team isn't known for getting its share of the proverbial 50/50 balls. Again, a good sign I believe that Carr is healthy.

Against all odds we are still here fighting. It means a lot having guys like Carr and Butler because a loss ends your college career these guys are giving us everything they have. With what has happened since we lost JRob I feel like we are a better team now than we were then because of how others have stepped up, if not better then at least more complete.

Carr gives us the high low option when teams are pressing up on our guards and is far and away the best defensive 4 we have with his ability to move fairly well on the perimeter and wall up to drives. Gives us the most versatility in play style by a long shot.

Totally agree and said that to my wife during the first half and she looked at the BOX Score and said he had 1 rebound, 0-1 shooting and 1 assist and I thought he was having a GREAT first half. I think he didn't score until about 6 minutes left. But like you said, he was busting his A$$ on Defense. LOVED IT.

He does appear to be almost 100% now if we could get Butler close to 75%

Carr is a valuable player. We really missed him when he was out.

Other than butler, hes our most valuable imo. Great length, good defender and rebounder, well rounded and matchup nightmare on O. Our woeful defensive rebounding cured itself overnight as he started to shake off his back issues.

Hes still half a step slow from the first of the season but its way better than the complete lack of mobility from the middle of the season.

Hes definitely a key guy.

Things I would have liked to have seen this season: Carr as the 5 (with Alminor at the 4) at the top key distributing or hitting the three in small ball shooters line up.

No doubt, he is looking really good now. He still had some key baskets late against Illinois as well. His 3 point play when we were losing the lead late was awesome. Got it back to 9 I think.

I think also he realizes this is it. Leave it all out there. I like playing with desperate energy and tenacity.
I think all our seniors are gonna leave it all out on the court. They are playing really hard and free right now. I want at least another week with them.
