Refresh my memory. Did OU give Casey Thompson an offer out of high school?

Did he want to come to OU, but didn't get an offer? Did he get a scholly at Nebraska? Texas?

OK, that was four questions. The answers will help me in my less-than-excited attitude toward the guy being a Sooner. One transfer during a college career is normal and understandable. But two raises a flag with me.

From what I remember he did have an offer out of highschool but OU went with Cameron rising, so he picked Texas, then Cameron rising backed off his commitment and turned around and picked texas....so i want to say OU went with Austin Kendall as the quarterback for that class...

Don’t believe he ever beat Iowa while in Lincoln either. I think he is just a walk on for the Sooners

Offered both Rising and Thompson, Rising committed first and Riley was only taking one QB.

Yeah I should have checked before I ran my yapper. The hawks usually find a way to slip past the Huskers with fairly stout Defense and good punting as they have had horrid Offensive production the last few years
