I dread the BTT every year because it feels like we always lose the first game; however, I looked at Wikipedia and they showed us 7 and 17 which is like win every other year. I was shocked, I thought we had won like 2 BTT games ever. better start paying more attention

i think this was the first year we got a bye. i mean we added some teams but to still be able to get a bye is an accomplishment.

exciting times for both basketball programs considering the past history of basketball at NU

Yes, it was the first time we got a bye.

Problem is that when the conference had 11 teams, the tournament started on Thursday with byes to Friday for Teams 1-5. Once Nebraska was added, it was byes for only Teams 1-4.

Yesterday's loss was pretty bad, but I don't think it was up there with the most disappointing ever. I'd start with the 2002 loss to Michigan (NU was seeded 7th, and probably needed to win that game to make the NIT) or the 2011 loss in overtime to Ohio State (if NU won, I believe they would have had a decent shot of winning the entire tournament).

OK I didn't go to NU but even I know that 7 and 17 isn't even close to every other year 7 wins and 17 loses is 7 of 24 which is more like 1 in 3.5 years . Right? Somebody with math skills tell me I'm right.

Wrong. Remember, you get a loss every year unless you win the whole thing. So that's 7 wins in 17 years, which is about a win every 2.5 years.
