...I mean, hell...what is the point really? You run the table in conference you should be allowed to opt out. There is nothing for Kentucky left to prove. All there is left you the chance of injury.

SEC or NCAA should make it a rule IMO.

For sure. It would just make sense though. What else do you have to prove?

We played our minds out against you guys and we still couldn't get it done. There is no doubt you guys are the champs of the sec.

BTW, I absolutely HATE the way you guys play. Transition and lob it at the rim in half court.

Jealous as hell though of the amount of talent y'all stock every year after year.

Hell, it is s just not fair to play you guys.

Plus we've seen how SEC teams react when they think they're about to play us. God, imagine the lack of effort in that Florida and Alabama game. both sucking so bad because they are saving their energy to play us. Is it possible for both to lose the game?

Now you know how we feel during football season. Hopefully that starts changing some.

I've been watching sec basketball since 93.

This is the sickest most physically gifted cat team I have ever seen.

Raw as hell in many ways, but able to overcome night after night with sheer physical gifts.

Meanwhile, we get eastern European scrappers who have to give 110% night in night out to even sniff a W.

Except that UK would be viewed by many as backing out to avoid a potential loss. Plus they'd be forfeiting the "official" SEC championship. That's the rule that needs to be changed IMO. I've always thought the regular season winner more deserving of that title. At least the SEC recognizes both, but I'm fairly sure the tournament winner goes down in the books at the SEC champion.

If you are going to do that, you might as well get rid of the tournament completely. The only purpose it serves, is to give terrible teams one last shot to make the tournament. It doesn't help the teams that are in by the end of conference play at all.

End of season conference tournaments are nothing more than money-makers for the major conferences. I'd much rather not have it and just play an additional 2 conference games. Never happen, though.

Meh....
I look at it as the only way to get to 40 wins, which no team has ever done, then the SECT is necessary.
With 40 wins and zero losses and a NC you can easily make the argument for Greatest College Basketball Team Ever!

No offense, but I'm getting sick and tired of these backhanded compliments.

Yeah yeah, we are so talented that it helps us overcome all our lazy non-scrapping giant strong fast Neanderthal players who can't even count their toes.

It's like when people say Cal is a great recruiter, thus snubbing him as a great coach on the floor.

Fact is, these guys understand the game and each other, and they execute as well or better on offense and certainly on defense than anybody else out there.
