I think that is too good after the way we played the entire game against a decent BIG team. Couldn't hit three's, couldn't defend in the paint, couldn't make lay-ups, starting PG fouled out with a couple of baskets and few attempts... bench was afraid to shoot...

That’s generous. I’m sure they also realize that within a couple weeks we will either prove we belong there or prove we do not. I won’t be surprised to see as slip another spot or two in the next poll, given we don’t play at all this week.

10-2 Texas was in the receiving votes category, but dropped out, despite not losing. The other three not getting votes are 10-2 LSU, 9-3 USC (beat Clemson), and 11-1 Vandy.

It's kind of amazing that the SEC's bottom feeders are 10-2, 10-2, 11-1, and 9-3. 15th place in the SEC is currently a tie of 10-2 teams, including the Cats.

So depending on how you look at things you can be happy we're ranked #10 in the country or panic that we're currently tied for next to last in the SEC.
