From what I can tell there are big ten teams still on the tourney bubble with 7-12 BT records (IU and PSU). Since we are said to have played one of the toughest schedules in college basketball history, were we just 2 wins away from a tourney bubble ourselves?

With the strong finish for a young team to the regular season it does rekindle some hope for the program. Does anyone have any idea if other B1G teams will have a step back next season do to graduation?

Seniors might come back. Or they might not.

But it usually doesn't matter anyway. It matters how much the ones who remain improve. Or not. OSU lost their best player last year. They are stronger this year. Rutgers did not lose anyone. They are good, but not better than last year. Very hard to determine before the season starts.

Avoid blowing two leads against IU in Evanston, win at Purdue (lost by 5) or at Penn State (lost by 3), and either keep a gigantic lead at home or find a way to steal the road game against a top-5 Illinois team ... that would put us at 9-10 in the conference. So we'd be on the bubble. But the last three wins were also very close and could have easily swung the other way. Our record and conference ranking reflect who we are.

Rutgers lost their third leading scorer Yeboah. He was a power forward who could hit threes. Rutgers fans point to him as the loss that they couldn’t replace. No other player like him.
