Cocks lead off 9th with a double, then bunt the man over to 3rd. Jack comes in to get a strikeout and then one of our other relievers (didn't catch which one) came in to get the final man to ground out to second.
YESSS! Cats win 2-1 over Carolina. Gamecocks get a lead off double, sacrifice him to 3rd with 1 out, Spencer Jack comes in and strikes out the next batter, and Logan Salow the Fr. lefty gets a ground out to 2nd base. CLUTCH pitching, Shepherd gets the win to go to 5-0 on the season. Cats have taken the series, and tomorrow go for the sweep !!!
Very happy that they closed it out today. Even with a lot of errors, they made the small lead hold up. It will be very interesting to see how both teams respond tomorrow.
