And just like that. A new pitcher for Kentucky. Not a good sign when you only get 3+ innings from your Saturday/Sunday guys.

Really interesting... I dont think Cotto or Bosma were pitching that bad when they got taken out. Cotto struck a guy out and got pulled and with as much as Bosma was dealing in the first 2 innings I'm surprised by that early hook.

To me, there has to be something going on to pull these guys that quick. But of course we will never know.

I like quick hooks when a guy is obviously struggling. Don't know that Bosma was.

More of the same with the offense. They can't seem to string together much.

I've also been noticing that our guys are not pitching very well from the stretch. I feel like we are throwing over to first waaaay too much. It's like they get so worried about the guy on first that they don't execute on their pitches. Bosma hasn't given up a HR in over a year, and a guy gets on base, he throws over to first a bunch and the hitter goes yard. It doesn't really seem like there is that much of a risk of the guys stealing to give them that much attention.

UK got a big break with that dying quail and Arkansas trying to stretch it into a double.

Cats threatend again and Jump hit one hard but right fielder runs it down.

3-0 Arkansas

Bases loaded and Harney gets a pop up he takes himself to keep the score 3-1. Going to 8th

Ugh. Another error and another base.
Watching LSU-A&M. Mentioned that LSU is last in SEC in fielding, they make errors in bunches. Which raises this point...put the ball in play, make the D make plays. Teams with lots of Ks/few BB won't win a lot of college games.

Cats 0-4 this week and not all that competitive really. Can’t say I’m surprised.

Early returns would put UK, MO, Bama and SCAR in the bottom third of the SEC. Doesn't mean they can't get a win here and there but SEC series wins are highly unlikely.

I am not sure about that. I saw plenty of talent on the UK Team, maybe the offensive numbers are somewhat inflated due to the schedule I don't know, but I saw a team with a good approach at the plate.

What I don't understand is the pitching rotation. You all know your team and I don't, but at this point in the season, unless the situation calls for it or if a pitcher is limited due to coming off an injury, pitchers should be able to throw many more pitches than what Mingione allowed. Guilfoil was dominant, why he was used on Friday in a 6-1 game baffled me.

Get the pitching rotation straightened out and catch the baseball, and I think the Cats can win plenty of conference games. Good luck the rest of the way!

Can't say I'm surprised. I was able to listen to the first couple of innnings today. Hopefully this results in a new staff next season and a fresh start for UK baseball. Tired of us not being competitive.
