Or because it's a good idea regardless of where Gentry Williams goes. It's about building depth....but I hope Williams honors his commitment.
Also, true freshmen defensive backs are not usually prime time ready.

Morrison didn't exactly finish strong for the Tar Heels this past season. Needing only to recover an onside kick to seal the victory against arch rival NC State, Morrison (#4) failed to come up with the ball. allowing the Wolfpack to come up with the miracle win.
