OTOH, VCU won the 2010 CBI with a young team, and Shaka Smart credited that experience as instrumental to helping launch their 2011 trip to the Final Four. How awesome would that be if we could follow in their footsteps? Except we go further than VCU did...

I also follow UTEP, and in 2009 UTEP made the CBI finals (and lost to Oregon State). The following year UTEP was in the top 25 and made the NCAA Tournament. I think it was a very good experience for the team that really paid dividends the following season.
