Switching from Sprint...hate the service and coverage. I can't get service where I work.

Just wondering who ya got, what ya got, and how much ya paying?

I got ATT with unlimited minutes/texts and 30GB of Internet. 4 lines and its $300 a month. That $300 includes the new way they do the phone set up which does suck but I do not have to sign 2 yr contracts either so that's a plus.

I have an AT&T plan where the employee of the month from each Lexington branch bends me over a large metal trash can and gets to have his/her way with me. On lucky months it's a woman and on luckier months I get to use lube.

It's a lot like krazykats' plan.

I am on AT&T pay-by-the-minute because I barely use a phone for actual phone features other than texting, and I'm on wifi like 90% of the time so I don't really need data anyways. It ends up costing $100 a year, and only that much because I have to add $25 every three months or my service is deactivated. I could come in way under $100 if I didn't have to spend $25 every 3 months. Only thing that really sucks is I have no option to use data even if I wanted to.

One thing I do though is I give out my Google Voice number to everyone. That way I can make wifi calls and text for free all I want, and with Android, you can make standard phone calls using your Google Voice number directly from the dialer. So I never have to use my real phone #, and that saves me a lot of money since I text sort of a lot.

Although I recently heard about Ting and might be switching to that sometime. It will cost a little bit more, but the coverage seems to be better where I live and I do at least have an option for data.

Whatever you do don't let them con you into buying one of their phones. Almost every phone is cheaper to just be bought outright from Amazon than to get it on a payment plan from the phone companies, and make sure the salesman spells out exactly what the phone is going to cost you, they have become like car salesmen in how well they hide what is rolled into that monthly payment these days.

This. I'd also recommend getting an unlocked phone as the service providers will often disable phone features (like AT&T disabled FM radio on my G3, which is dumb since they are now requiring devices to come with FM radio) and install a bunch of bloatware that you can't uninstall (unless you root your phone and thus void your warranty). Buying it unlocked means you get the phone the way the manufacturer wanted the phone and you can use it on any carrier (at least that's how it works on GSM networks), which will make it a whole lot easier if you want to switch providers, all you'd have to do is exchange the SIM card and you're good to go.

I think the people at the stores truly just don't know so acting dumb is easier. I got pulled into that stupid payment plan and was so pissed when I cracked it 2 months in, and shopped online just to see I over paid by 275 total!

Honestly plan on complaining about something at some point just to recoup some of that money. We did it on 4 phones but the other 3 people don't give a **** live month to month anyway.

5 lines, unlimited text and voice, 2.5 GB of 4G LTE data each line each month, unlimited (but highly throttled) data thereafter, using AT&T's network . All for $100 a month with Cricket Wireless. You can purchase a phone from Cricket partially subsidized, or bring your own GSM phone that is compatible with the AT&T network.

We're on AT&T Next as well. However we both are still grandfathered into the "unlimited" data plans. They're going to have to pry that from our dead lifeless hands.

Im getting a 15% discount. The $170 is with taxes and fees. Im guessing actual bill is maybe $10-$15 less. One phone is also a 6 + and that takes price up another $5 I think.

AT&T, 4 phones (one bought through them so an extra $25/mo), unlimited talk and text, 10 GB data with rollover (one month only) - $180/month.

Just bought a refurbished iPhone 5C for $185 at Jem Jem. Works and looks like new and guaranteed by Jem Jem. Found other sites that have Nokia, HTC, et al if you like Android, Windows phones.

Until mid-2014, Cricket was a Sprint MVNO. AT&T bought Cricket and moved it from Sprint's network to AT&T's. If you had Cricket prior to mid-2014, you were on Sprint towers, in which case I can certainly understand your poor reception. Today, you would be on the exact same towers you are currently using as an AT&T customer, and I'm willing to bet you would not tell a difference in reception.

One phone ( iPhone 6 ). Unlimited talk and text with 2g data
35 bucks/month

Before you ask, it's part of a huge number of phones (14+) the total bill is amazingly high.

Using the prepay gophone plan from AT&T. I get unlimited text, unlimited minutes, and 4 gigs of data a month for 50 bucks using an iPhone. You can't beat it. It auto deducts 50 out of my account each month to renew unless I cancel it. Also, with prepay, once you run out of data(which I never do), they can't turn off your data plan, so they just reduce your speed, and you can't get charged for it.

AT&T.

98 a month for two lines with unlimited text and 2 gigs of data (I believe). It was something like a gig between the two of us and then one day they sent a message that it was increased to two gigs. Then I logged into their website about two months ago and it offered more free data but I was too lazy to even click on it because we rarely use it and the rollover gives us more than enough.

Their service sucks in my neighborhood in Bowling Green though. It is so bad that you can't complete a full phone call unless you have a Microcell which they provided for free. On the bright side, when there is an outage affecting a large area like a few days ago I can still make and receive calls if I am at home.

Looks to be like Magic Jack. Except, AT&T apparently is in the process of allowing calls over wifi when the signal is low, so there won't be a need for microcells when they activate that feature. (speaking entirely in terms of iOS and iPhones)

Yeah the MicroCell plugs into your router and relies on a broadband connection and its great for the most part. The only problem is that sometimes it will go offline so you have to unplug it and plug it back it back in and let it reconnect.

Man. Lots of AT&T users up in here.

I have 2 phones on Verizon, unlimited text and 10 gb. No idea how many minutes as it's irrelevant. $170/month, but I get a $35 reimbursement from work.

Verizon 2 phones, 10GB for about $155 a month that includes a discount through where I work.

Anyone on a two year contract with VZ? They are now doing away with them, but you pay about $20 a month for your phone instead of getting a deep discount on the phone like I did when we joined VZ late last year.

For the OP, Sprint has the same thing. They call it an AirRave. Will give it to you for free to use. But like someone said with that increased wifi calling not sure it's even necessary a lot of times.

10GB data for 2 phones? Sheesh guys :) Must have teenagers. I've got 3 phones on Verizon with 2GB data and should be fine with that. I just had to get my wife to actually use wifi when available. Like when she's at the house [roll]

All it takes is youtube and minecraft to swallow your data in no time. And I'm constanting managing 30GB between 8 lines.

My son doesn't have wifi at his college. 10 GB is barely enough. I hardly use any of it.

ATT 3GB + 1GB overrun - company discount - some other discount i got a while ago that hasn't been removed for ~80$/month.

I use about 3.7GB /month, the extra GB is 15$ and the next tier up is 5GB for 20$ . . . I probably save 50$/year eating the overage because they are Goldilocksing ********.
