Chandler guarding Johnson

I think chandler could have a big sophomore year after the way he played the last couple of months last year. I’m excited about him.
I feel like he’s gonna have some big putback dunks this year. Big time athlete
There wasn't much guarding going on there. Look like last season.
I thought he looked fine till he caught the screen. Not much you can do there
That was good D on a smaller quicker player. Chandler is a good defender.
Gotta be better in pick and roll coverage no excuse for that wide open look
Watch after the screen. It was another player that was supposed to pick him up but he dropped back into the lane. That wasn’t Chandler’s fault.
The take away from this clip shouldn’t be CC. It should be JJ. That was gorgeous.
Jasper’s going to cook a lot of dudes this year, nothing to be concerned about. I personally thought Chandler was playing outstanding on-ball defense at the end of the season. Wasn’t afraid to body up and athletic enough to keep his center of gravity. I think we’ll see big improvements from Chandler and he’ll be an outstanding defender.
And Johnson is going to score the ball. Hoping he has the mentality to be a good defender. He stated that was his focus. He has the tools and that would elevate his game and the team as a whole.

That's an offensive drill where the defense is basically just dummied up. Purpose of the drill is to 1--Get the defender UNDER the level of the ball screen so the defender can't get between the screener and the handler. 2--Space and punish the switch. If the switch plays off (as in this video) the read is the step back 3 you saw. If the switch presses up on the handler, the read would be to isolate and drive past the bigger/slower defender. That's not at all a competitive drill, much more geared for teaching offense.
