Changes or no changes....I want the W today.

We must get to a bowl game. This young team needs the practices and the experience.

Some thoughts....

DLine and LBs are gonna have to work today to pressure, hit and sack the NW QB. Can't give him all day with our banged up and weak secondary. No pressure = giant loss.

If Bradley is out then Ozigbo is gonna need to be the man running and catching the ball. Not to mention protection.

Can Hoppes build on his monster game from last week? Today would be a great day to show that he can be consistent.

We need to produce some turnovers. I remember in the pre-season that Diaco said he would be emphasizing take-aways but we haven't seen many.

I expect it to be a close one so special teams is gonna have to be good.

Last thing......I want to see Riley and the coaches put some passion into the sidelines. No more arms crossed looking at the ground. Please, MR, if you are gonna go out at least go out spitting fire!!!

You must have missed Bo's come back wins? Why reinvent history? Neither should be coaching at Nebraska.

Don’t think he’s wrong about the meltdown, we’ve seen hit many times. aTm, Iowa, UCLA, Wisconsin. Coach melts down team follows.

Only reason why I would like to see us in a bowl is because of our bowl history...

Other than that with a Coaching change on the horizon another 3 weeks of practice won't matter.

Wait, do you remember how many times Bo won games in the 4th quarter? You can use the indictment against Bo that some of those shouldn't have been games in the 4th but his teams had more than it's fair share of close wins.

Bo also wouldn’t have been down to Purdue in the 4th. He could at least kick *** against the weaklings of the BIG. Riley usually trails going into the second half.

Yep never trailed the likes of McNees State or SDSU. Never lost to a bad NW team at home, lost to Minnesota at home. Not to mention the miracle wins like Ameers run vs McNees, DPE’s punt return against Iowa or the hail may against NW.

This isn’t a fun time, but let’s not go back and reinvent history. Bo was a sinking ship, by the end we were pulling out miracle wins against bad teams to save the 9 win streak. And that was with Ameer, Rex, Kenny et al against much weaker schedules. He ran this thing into the ground and I hope the next guy is up to fixing it, because unfortunately Riley hasn’t been.

First of all, why was this thread hijacked by Bo? The OP is really solid and has nothing to do with Bo.

I’m with PAOK on Hoppes. Getting him involved more will make match-up problems with the big 3 WRs. If Hoppes is effective in the passing game today should really open things up for Stanley on the edge and JD in the middle. .

Arguing about Riley and Pelini is about like Iowa State fans arguing whether Jim Walden or Paul Rhoads were better. They both suck and should not be wearing any gear with an N on it. Its beyond belief that our fanbase has been relegated to defending losers.

Agreed. Callahan, Angry Bo, Riley. It's not an "either, or" discussion. Way too much time wasted on that topic.

How did Bo do the against the likes of Purdue, Illinois, and Rutgers? I would consider them the weaklings. I think you know the answer. Riley has been in dog fights with all of them. Riley has trailed at halftime in most of his games. Pelini was a better coach than Riley. I would think the debate is over because Riley has taken Nebraska to a whole new level. The apathy in Nebraska is alarming. People can’t even give away tickets because the on the field performance is so brutal.

My fault shouldn’t have taken the bait.

Today is a must win. Need the WR’s to step up and make plays. Front seven on D must tackle well and not let Jackson get the leaky yards and can’t forget about the QB, he has killed us with his legs the last couple years.

My biggest concern is our banged up OL. The OL has been pass protecting very well and Farniok and Conrad need to step up in absense of Farmer and Decker. Also not sure about our safety situation having our two best tackling safeties limited could be a big problem.

Sorry, but that is not MR. You can't expect him to change. He is who we thought he is.
