He basically said he and Boo over the summer finally decided to work as teammates rather than as some guy who was taking the other’s shots away. (He didn’t say that exactly, but I’m interpreting in the interests of a good story.)

It’s better when you share.

It wasn't quite that on-the-nose, but the sentiment was there and it highlights the major differences in this squad that point to the route for this program to be more consistently where everyone wants it to be.

None of the players on this squad were top 100 recruits, but they play hard together. After several years wandering in the wilderness, this team has an identity that makes sense for its recruiting profile. It has returned to playing hard-nosed defense led by players who have been developed in the program for multiple years. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts and, lo and behold, the individual players are getting their shine, too.

Beating Minnesota like a drum is no massive accomplishment this season, but this week has been impressive in the way the team handled business in a poised and mature fashion. Not every week is going to be like this one, but Coach Collins deserves major kudos for unlocking the potential of this group. Now the challenge is building a consistency in the program (both in terms of recruiting and play) that feeds this identity.

The hardest working team except maybe the cardiac cats and the winning ugly Sox - but love them equally.

The light finally clicked on for Audige and Buie. Apparently this group was tight knit last year too, but with these two in the leadership role as they mature, this team has taken off.

Chase feels like a 30 year old out there. Seen it all before and doesn’t get rattled. Boo has stepped up in a big way. Notice how we rarely get pressed this year.

1) Bit of speculation here but it’s amazing when you stop worrying about getting your stat sheet points you end up getting your stat sheet points, and more

2) I knew these two were capable. But I thought they were going to be pretty much the entire focus of the other team and feel overwhelmed by drawing best defenders and help positions that took away a lot of their ability to drive to the basket. They are not overwhelmed and the rest of the guys have stepped up

I see that younger Christie brother is on his way Minnesota next season. Weird choice, but I guess we never had a shot

Chase has had a nice dunk in both of the last two games. I knew he could dunk, but those were both great “opportunity” dunks that he saw and went for. Cool to watch that happen.
