BK- thought you was going to do the picks this year.Murphy 35-14.
I hate to hear that. Such a great athleteI'm pretty sure cherokee's season just went down the drain, QB may be out for season
If that is what you think decides victory or defeat, then you guys will never win a thing at Andrews. When Swain/Murphy/Robbinsville lineup against some of the big schools they play, no one particularly cares how "many" players are on the other team. Eleven lineup against eleven. Maybe the NCHSAA should create a 1/2 A division so we don't have to hear the crying concerning "how many" players Murphy/Swain have. I took a tour of Cherokee's facilities last night and let me tell you, it was impressive. They really have something to be proud of there. Now the key is to get all of their kids, whether its 15, 24, or 40 to buy into what their coach is building, and put in the work. The same goes for Andrews. You have a good coach, and a good JV coach. Buy in, work, and EXPECT to win.Well I guess the radio station announcer summed it all up. Murphy has 46 players to Cherokee 24. Enough said
Ok Mr Know it all. How many is in your school ? Have you ever played at a school that only dresses out 25 players ?Have you ever went up against a school that has double your enrollment, when you only have 285 kids in enrollment which you have to field enough quality athletes to compete against a bigger school ? Also these same few athletes play every sport at our school and cannot specialize in 1 or 2. Trust me, I am totally in with our new coach and every coach that we have had. I played here and my kids have played here and I was not making excuses just stating a fact that you will never understand unless you have played for a small school. Keep your preaching for someone else. I take your from Swain. When I played you were 2A along with Murphy and Franklin so you don't have a clue what it's like to be a Wildcat. Funny thing when it comes playoff time I hear the same schools make the exact same comment that I made when the Big 3 play bigger schools. It's double standardsIf that is what you think decides victory or defeat, then you guys will never win a thing at Andrews. Mintz went out right before the 2nd quarter started, maybe you are confused when he went out seeing how his younger brother is the back up QB. Also I'm not saying that cherokee would have won but I definitely believe they could have scored one or two more times than they did with him in a full gameReally they were being dominated long before Mintz went out. Murphy was playing at a different level than they have all year. Combine that with the braves injuries and it made up for a long night.
