I can't believe both my teams had offenses that were so terrible they fired their coordinators mid-season. Lightning strikes twice in the same year. Unbelievable!

Even more unbelievable; do I have it right? If the Steelers could have somehow won that craptacular in Cleveland they would have been a half-game behind the one seed?

This is all so bizarre, and awful.

Has anyone seen Canada and Mike Y in the same room at the same time?

The whole thing just fills me with chicken or the egg questions. Was the talent at fault or the coaching? Probably both. At both places.

Everybody sucks.

And yet both teams have decent records.

Canada was nothing different this year than the last two. There’s no reason this shouldn’t have happened before the season to allow a new OC time to install a better system. It’s unlikely this will result in much meaningful change in the middle of the year.

Hopefully they can at least do simple things like motion and play action now.

For the Steelers it’s not the OC, it’s the QB.

For Penn State, it may have been the OC and/or HC, but the jury is out with regard to the QB. He is starting to look like Morelli and Hack, so hopefully what we have seen so far is not his ceiling.

No, it was the OC as much as Pickett. Canada has had one good offense and that was in 2016 with Pitt. He's been bad everywhere else and an epic failure with the Steelers.

Offense is overrated /s
I heard yesterday that Iowa won the always formidable Western division with the least points scored on the season of any of the participants .

The Stillers will hire Yurcich, and he will make Pickett look like a Heisman winner.

I'll say it again: peak Bill Walsh would not be able to do anything with KP. Hate on Canada (the man) all you want, but without an accurate QB, no OC is going to be successful at that level. This version of KP the NFL has easily caught up to. As a senior at Pitt was peak KP. And as we all know, NFL defenses are a bit tougher to crack than ACC defenses. Is KP finished? Probably not. But I don't see him being a successful starter in the league, and was stunned he was picked in R1.

For the Steelers, admitting you have a problem will be the first step toward recovery

Our game with them that year still gives me nightmares. They just continually ran jet sweeps or a shovel pass, and our defense was always totally bewildered and acted like they’d never seen it before. You know like one play earlier, and the one before that.

The whole thing begs the question. If Allar was suddenly on the Steelers, would he be an upgrade to KP?

I was totally disgusted and demoralized when the pitt QB was picked by the Steelers, but I've tried to give him a chance since he hasn't stuck up the joint with mistakes.

I definitely haven't given up on Allar yet.

It does look like another wasted #1 pick for the Steelers. This though, may have been a very critical blunder.

”Canada's firing marks the first time the Steelers have made a head coach or coordinator change midseason since 1941, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.”

Canada must be so proud.
In true Canada fashion, he apologized.

Stillers had first round QB in the wrong year. he would not have been drafted in round 1 last year for sure or most other years. There will be a bountiful coming out this year.

why they went in that direction with a QB is funny.

Whom did she have in mind? She’s busted.

😞
Be gentle Bob,
This is just a fiction of my twisted imagination.
My sorry…
Seriously… if I’m not retuning to this forum for Christmas, you and your family have a great Christmas.
