Oh, the humanity!

It was fun for a few days, but now I’m about to go insane.

This is the second loudest I’ve ever heard them.

Niece lives less than five miles away and is overwhelmed by them. We have had very few. Weird.

Going nuts here. The byproducts are the eggs which moles just love. My yard looks like a WW1 battleground

It’s the same way here in Louisville. It’s loud where I live even with all the doors and windows closed. Walk outside and it’s overwhelming.

Yeah, I'm also in Louisville. Niece lives in Hurstbourne, we live in St. Matthews. Virtually nothing here. They're inundated. Strange.

I’m near Hurstbourne. I sympathize with her.

At my son's baseball complex they are all over the place. A kid on his team went home crying last night they were so loud. Kind of a puss move if you ask me.

At our golf course, I feel like I am in a science fiction movie, parts of the course are so loud you can hardly carry on a conversation. I live 10 miles from golf course, and tbh, we have had some in our neighborhood, but nothing like out at Champions.

We were at our camper on Lake Cumberland a couple of weeks ago and they were so loud you could barely have a conversation. Then we were coming home from my daughters golf tournament Monday and ran through a bunch of them. They were splatting all over my windshield.

One good thing about having tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears) is you learn to tune out sounds. So they don't bother me. Being married has the same effect as well.

I always loved the commercial where the football referee was getting slammed on the sideline by the coach and he was just standing there. The announcers talk about him getting chewed out by the coach and it not fazing him and they wonder how he is able to tune it out. Then it shows him sitting in a recliner with his wife up in his ear screaming at him and he is just watching TV and totally ignoring her.

Bastards keep killing themselves on my windshield.
Drove down to the lake yesterday afternoon and murdered over a hundred of them as they torpedoed into me. They are over the top loud here and at home. Cant believe some people dont have any.

Drove thru a car wash and was on my phone, i usually put on wipers maybe to help clean. You would think whether i did that or not they would come off. Nope. Decent job but not fully off windshield after a wash.

I have killed well over 100. Loud and obnoxious. They can do damage to young trees and shrubs as they insert their eggs in to branches and then when their nymphs reenter the earth, they attach to root systems to feed for the next 13-15 years. Not a fan!

I have heard the same, but what is the solution? There are a gazillion of them.

I can lend you a used Terrier to get rid of moles. About 13, very ill tempered, will bite those she doesn't like (which is most people), and barks at nearly everything that moves.

But . . . she hates moles and can dig to China if given a chance. I will provide one (1) week's supply of food, bowls, and her bed, and will deliver and pick up (My wife will insist).

Message me if interested.

Living in Richmond maybe a mile from EKU and to say they are at plague level of Biblical proportions feels like an understatement

I’ve seen them in Northern Cincy, but have yet to hear a chirp in NKY.

Weird as hell. Nothing in St. Matthews. Dad lives in Harrods Creek. Nothing. Nieces live in Hurstbourne and Middletown. Chaos.
