If we can beat out the mom/Louisville, thats pretty big. Have to believe that puts UK in the driver seat. Closer to home, familiarity.

I think if youre Pope/UK, you can not let Calipari outbid you, and sort of keep his name at the forefront. Go get youre #1 recruit while also putting Calipari in the dirt. You pay extra for that. Double win.

I agree, he’s a recruit worth it for recruiting credibility alone.

If we landed Stokes that’s worth the daffy meme itself. If we got Stokes. Rippey. Thompson it’s worth actually doing the Daffy Duck meme 🤣

But yeah. I’m HUGE on Thompson bro. I think he’ll end up a top 5 player in the class and a top 5 pick in the draft and a major impact player in college. That size. Shooting/scoring ability is unreal

Getting a kid like stokes could make next year a legitimate shot at a final four and national championship. Itll be easier to return everyone outside of Oweh with NIL.

if the team can go deep this year and return some guys, then Pope has the program primed for the future.

I haven’t watched any of his play. Is he good or is he generational type talent?
I haven’t watched him much, but Goodman and Dauster and the guys from Firld of 68 said there is big gap between him and the 2nd ranked player. They did say this years class is a little down, but they really loved his game. Goodman thinks he ends up at UK FWIW.
