I have seen a lot of complaining recently about NU’s guard recruiting (for good reason, imo), but nothing about the recent offers out there for next year’s class.

Damion Baugh (#141 nationally on 247, offers from Georgetown, TCU, Memphis, GA Tech, Texas Tech)

Tony Johnson Jr. (#315 nationally, offers from Georgia, GA Tech, Auburn, Minnesota, Saint Louis)

Both are prototypical lead guards in terms of size. Johnson was once a higher-rated recruit but apparently had a bad summer and saw his stock fall, but he’s seeing interest pick up again. Quoted saying he wants to go where he’s needed most. (Here!)

I have no insight into their recruiting but getting at least one would be huge.

24/7 says it's 100 percent that Johnson is going to Auburn, 75 percent that Baugh is going to Memphis.

I don’t put a lot of value in any of that stuff. I think the key thing for both or either of these guys is get them on campus with there parents and then let the selling begin.

That brings up another point. Does anyone know the contact dates in the spring. I would assume they are after the end of the season, but I have no verifying information on that.

And 60% of the time they're right... every time.
