Love me some TyTy. If he hadn’t got hurt right in the middle of us being so dominant, we may have made a Final Four run or won a title in that 2022 season.

Played both teams that ended up in the national championship game:

Neutral Site: Kentucky 98, North Carolina 69

Road Game: Kentucky 80, Kansas 62

Yeah we were playing very well at that point.

The season that haunts me is the Covid shortened one with no tournament. I was close with that team. We had the guard play to win it all with Quickly and Maxey. 25-6 record and won 9 of our last 10. We were poised for a deep run that year.

Being mad at TyTy or Reed is super closed minded. They were both Cats and represented us well. Nothing they’ve done changed that, fans who hate on them are the type who just look for a reason to be mad or upset every morning when they wake up. We all know that type of person.
They started it

He’s in the Reed Shepard category for me, if not worse. I don’t care if that kids flops out of the league and ends up playing in some third world country after the stuff he said on Twitter when Cal was fired.
Yep. Screw him. These types of players, who show zero loyalty, or appreciation of the privilege of wearing a Kentucky uniform, but instead worship a used car salesman, can all drop off the face of the earth, as far as I’m concerned. Why should I give a crap about a player, that doesn’t give a crap about having played here?

Some of you guys are jock sniffers.

Did you play here? These kids are going to support the coach who recruited them and gave them a chance to play basketball. You obviously never played a high level of sports. A coach in some cases is more of a father figure than their biological fathers. Important things in life: God, Family, Friends, and never should a University sports be if front of those three, EVER!

Stop. This guy is making millions to play ball. He doesn’t need you defending him on a message board

He has made it clear that he didn’t enjoy his time here and doesn’t like the fans so it’s absurd to me that we should still be expected to root for him.

I don’t hate the guy on a personal level but I won’t waste an ounce of energy cheering for him. Why should I when there are PLENTY elite guys in the nba now who actually appreciated their time at UK?

What did TyTy say? I missed the whole thing
He told his version of the truth and people don’t like it.

Back in the day, he told Calipari that there’s a large contingent of the fanbase who literally do not care about the players. He echoed this again after Cal’s departure on X. Many people view him as a Calipari guy and not a Kentucky guy —- I see it as tough love.

What does money have to do with the fact that a player is going to support his coach that helped him get to where he is. Show me the quote where Reed said he did not enjoy his time here and that he does not like our fans.

Tbf, Kansas supposedly didn’t practice at all the week they played us or bill self wasn’t there. (infractions meeting across country or something). They clearly weren’t as bad as they played that day.

What burns me up more than anthing is both Kansas and UNC winning ships while being investigated or immediately after it.
Cheating pays off in college sports folks.

Agreed. When Whitney left the team it forced Cal to use the 3 guard lineup that was playing good basketball.

He actually quoted, "walked into the trap and took over the trap."
TRAP was a play on words for his NIL clothing To Rise Above Poverty.
I think it set people off bc he referenced it to Cal winning on the road after leaving UK if memory serves me correctly.
