Im starting to dislike Kentucky and Cal more than Roy and UNC. All that talent and still cant win a title, yeah youre right Duke cant do what Kentucky does....

That was both awful and great at the same time. Awful in the whole basis of the story which was to bait Duke haters. Awesome in that it is amusing that he cares so much about K but says he doesn't. As the fan interviewed said, they aren't even on our radar, haha.

I don't have a problem with it. This is the persona he has established - the "it's us versus them" and he plays to that. It's fine. It isn't what Coach K does (and I'm glad) but he is playing to his fans and the players he wants to attract and I get it. I think Bill Belichick does the same thing to greater effect. Kinda like the fan said, they aren't really on our radar except when it comes to recruiting some of the same kids. I think we all know that given equally talented teams if we were to play them who we'd put money on.

Kentucky is ISIS/Al Qaeda. Totally irritating. New school hatred of you will. Just irritants that won't let the great society just live in peace. More worried with us than we are with them until the time for us to chest stomp Timberlake

I dont have a problem with it, but i sure as hell don't see it as an "us against the world" attitude. I see it as a very insecure petty attitude that is always concerned with what we're doing. He's the guy who says he's not at all concerned about what his exgf is doing but yet wont ever shut up about her.

I may be in the minority but I don't really mind his comments. Kentucky is all smoke and mirrors. He's not s great X's and O's coach he's not going to develop guys over time, he's all about the 1 and done. If he loses that his entire program takes a major hit. He's a pure salesman who never lets his guard down. He didn't really bash Duke to a great extent. This is a continuous battle for the top talent. I'm fine with the game on mentality. Insecure is prolly the best description. He sees us as a threat whereas we seem to be more comfortable in our own skin. The 1 fan said it best, they hate us and they hate us even more because it's not mutual.

Overlooking that Coach K could retire in 3 or 4 years I see K vs Cal this way. If K would have 2 or 3 years of just a 60% winning record we would all understand and support K. If Cal had 2 or 3 like years he would be booted out of Lexington.

Two NC's at Duke since Calipari started at UK, one for UK. The one thing Duke has an edge over UK this year? Caliber of returning players. If Duke does happen to win it all, a big if of course requiring a lot of things to go right, we'll look at Duke as the team retaining key returnees running alongside talented freshmen. Cal meanwhile will begin to lose out on some guys who could be key upperclassmen because all he cares about is shipping off kids to the NBA

Nothing really new as far as the angle Cal has been taking. Nothing earth shattering there.

I did laugh at Cal's line that he doesn't pay attention to what other people are doing. He seems to be the guy who is perpetually fixated on what is going on with guys like K. I think that inferiority chip on his shoulder is the biggest thing that drives him.

I can't stand that crap they say when they say we took their 2010, and 2015 national championship. I hear that constantly and I just reply no u just simply lost to the teams we beat( West Virginia, and Wisconsin)

And they have no class. It's amazing. I said it an earlier post somewhere in another thread that U.K. Fans have this weird obsession with Duke. Obviously their friggin coach even does. UK fans never can keep Duke out of their mouths. Quite sad really. I'm so glad Coach K takes the high road and ignores this big clown.

K I think would have found a way to win ships with Kentucky's roster in '10, '12, and either '14 or '15. Instead, they had Cal

UK has had a bout of mentionitis concerning Duke since The Shot. Coach Cal has had only aggravated the disease as UK now has severe mentionitis when it comes to Duke. It seems to be spreading as in the last few years Duke fans have a growing case of mentionitis over UK.
