Hopefully we can cut the nets down again in the ACC this year!
Coach K/Duke have won 38.5% of the ACC Tournaments since Coach K has been at Duke. Without actually taking the time to figure it out I bet there’s no other Coach in the ACC that has that high of s winning percentage for winning the ACC Tournament during their time as Coach of a school in the ACC. I’d be surprised if there’s another Coach that comes close to that winning percentage in the ACC.

Roy would have a higher percentage if he hadn’t turned down so many.

To win THE ACC 12 times out of the last 20 years is something we will NEVER see again!
Two other things that I think we’ll never see happen again is 1 team winning 5 straight ACC Tournament Championships in a row like Duke did from 1999-2003 or a team winning 7 out of 8 ACC Tournament Championships like Duke did from 1999-2003 and 2005 & 2006. If Maryland hadn’t beat us in the ACC Tournament Championship Game in 2004 then we would’ve won 8 straight ACC Tournament Championships from 1999-2006. If you include 1999 then Duke has won 13 of the last 21 ACC Tournament Championships

Duke has won 21 of the 66 ACC Tournaments since joining the ACC in 1954 which is 31.8% of the ACC Tournaments in that time frame. Duke has also appeared in 12 additional ACC Tournament Championship games since joining the ACC in 1954 which means that Duke has appeared in 33 of the 66 ACC Tournament Championship Games which is 50% of the ACC Tournament Championship Games since becoming a member of the ACC in 1954.

I went back and compared Duke and UNC in ACC Tournament Championship game appearances. Duke has a record of 21-12 in ACC Tournament Championship games and UNC has a record of 18-17 in ACC Tournament Championship games.
