along with his 1000 wins....Geez, will Fox Sports and ESPN get a room with Coach K so they can have their threesome?

Wonder if they will do an expose on Corey Maggette and how he was ineligible when Duke went to the final four? I wonder if Pete Thamel will write an article asking why that banner was never brought down? After that article is written, we can then diminish every accomplishment for which he is given credit.

I wonder if Thayer Evans will then do a story on how many one-and-dones are on Coach K's team this year, and how they are ruining the game of basketball.

I wonder if Jeff Goodman will then do a story on Lance Thomas. Surely, he has had time to figure out where that money came from to buy that jewelry on account?

I'll stand by and wait.

Let him have his glory, it is quite an accomplishment and he is media darling, just hope we don't see that smile with the nets hanging around his neck and his trademark congratulating and hugging the vanquished foe at Final Four, I can handle this but not that.

I can see him pulling a John Wooden if we end up in the National Title Game against Duke. No way Duke would lose.

Bad news is we've got another hyped up milestone for ESPN to drone on about in 4 yrs - 1099 wins to overtake Pat Summit as winningest coach. My guess is he'll hold off on retiring just long enough to get there.

Even after that, we'll see him all the time... at the least, there'll be a series of Hair Coloring For Men commercials.

Just wondering why we haven't seen some tweets from the refs who've helped him along. Or maybe they're looking for a nod from him.

You guys are ridiculous. All stems from the 92 game. Give it a rest. Coach K is one of the greatest- just admit it. And this is coming form a Kentucky fan. Yes I will always take Calipari but give credit where its due.

Truth is not only that he is a great coach but that he had some player violations that SHOULD have vacated wins. The NCAA looked the other way. His record is tainted by that.

Dick Vitale says that's god given. K assured him of that.

But only able heal 2 blind men.....per game I guess. Not a big fan of K, but he's alright. 1000 wins in a little over 1300 games is impressive. Along the way it didn't hinder his pursuit that Duke home games most of the time started off with them essentially being in the bonus at tipoff. Congratualtions K. I do have a question for the historians. In the 1300 plus games, was he ever tossed from a game? I can't remember it happening. And for someone that whines and yells at the officials every time his team is called for a violation, this would be a neat trick.
