Apparently RJ and Bolden were both sick this week, and we are pretty tired after the recent games and road trips. Coach makes a great point on the back to back road games and the toll it takes.
Sometimes we forget what they have to endure ( travel, health etc) + the academics they still need to complete...
I'll hold my hand up as the first to acknowledge i was frustrated with the effort at times yesterday but this puts it into real perspective. Great win, despite the adversity.

It’s definitely a grinding season, couple days of rest at home before Carolina will be much needed.

But on a side note - If RJ is sick and exhausted, why did he play 37 minutes? Duke had a 12 point lead with 4 minutes to play and he played until the buzzer. DeLaurier or White would of happily took those minutes. I know O’Connell’s playing time has taken a sharp playing time this year for subpar defense, but I don’t see the hurt in letting him play 4 or 5 junk minutes so your sick / tired superstar has more healing time.

Makes me wonder if Jack was sick recently. Not just his shooting but his rebounding was off. He's looked better the last 2 games.

Sick doesn't mean injured. The kid was playing well, so he played. Not much to read into. He was arguably our best player last night in a game where they were one run away from making it dangerously close. You don't replace this kid with O'Donnell or Delaurier because he has the sniffles.

I just meant in the final 4 minutes with a comfortable lead. Probably left him in to get that triple-double, don’t blame him! #history

As someone who travels a lot on business I know how draining the road can be. Add sickness to travel and it can be downright lousy. I am sure some time on campus will be good for the team. The fact that it's not a Monday night, quick turnaround will be helpful. Get healthy men. UNC is up next!

I posted this before. The flight to Louisville was delayed 3 hours because of weather. They didn't land until 12:30 AM. That was after playing at Virginia at night two days before. They looked very tired at Louisville for 3/4th the game. Even Coach K said that this isn't right.

As Dennis Green once said, "You play the game to win," or was it "They were who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook."
Coach K is not going to let any team off the hook just to rest some one in the waning minutes.
