I think he'd be great in our offense. Plus, can't let the DirtyBirds get him.
Johnson and him being teammates this year has got to help our cause a whole helluva lot .
wish he had stayed at Newport so I could drive 15 minutes and watch some of his games
I think he MIGHT be going back to Newport for his SR season. Lots of rumors and he changed his social media profiles to say “Newport ‘26”.

How tall is he? He looks pretty big in that picture. I thought he was ranked even higher than 17 as well.
Yeah but he’s an Adidas kid. I know that doesn’t matter as much these days but it prolly shifts recruiting to some schools still.
Think he will choose between Xavier, cincy, Louisville, purdue and us

Looks like he’s about 6’5” in that photo. Pope must have shrunk a couple inches in his older age. Maybe not I guess a human head is about 7-8 inches long and Pope has about a head length on him.
theres not 16 better players in the class than Tay Kinney
In terms of “fit” , I like him better than Crowe .
When looking at other highlight clips, it's clear that his height definitely doesn't exceed 6'3"

If kinney does not come to us, it will because of playing time, role, not because of adidas brand

I hope this is the case. I hate the OTE product. I love when kids take pride in where they come from.

If kinney is solid 6-3/6-4 player, he will be top 5/top 3 in this class without doubt
He has no major flaw in his game and seems to have good personality

Size is more similar with Dilly(6-1/6-2) than Quickley/Fox (6-3) in eye test
We're gonna see some studs come through here during the Pope era. I'm ready for the next Ron Mercer, Tony Delk ,etc.
You’re probably right about his role, but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% certain he couldn’t start as a frosh. Good decision making can be taught fairly quickly… the physical tools he possesses obviously cannot. If Marquis Teague and Tyus Jones can start as freshmen, there’s no reason Kinney can’t, provided he is surrounded by exceptional talent, which he almost certainly will be.
We probably will have year 4 Lowe, do not know if Kinney think he will start over Lowe...

Good point… I was thinking more along the lines of us adding another portal PG… forgot that Lowe is only a Jr. Hopefully he blows up this year, we win it all, and he gets drafted. Be a good problem to have
