College football salary rankings out. Stoops ranked #26 which is 11th in the SEC.

A few things that really stood out to me. It has never bothered me before the insane amount of money some coaches make. But the money they are paying Jim Harbaugh has changed my mind. This has gone too far. Also, Charlie Strong may be the most grossly overpaid coach of all time. Jeff Brohm also makes chump change. Loyalty to WKU, he loves it there, blah, blah, blah, my ***.

I'm stunned that Brian Kelly makes 1.6 million at Notre Dame. Cincinnati is paying Tuberville more. Did he take a pay cut to go to ND? Wow.

Ridiculous Harbaugh makes nearly $2M more than Saban, and nearly $3M more than Meyer. Both of whom have won multiple national titles. $3.5M more than Bob Stoops who has also won a national title.

Agree Strong most overpaid coach on the list considering his results at Texas.

That is ridiculous but I'm not surprised.

Coach Stoops' salary looks pretty competitive from where I sit. I'd be interested in knowing the bonus structure.

He has already made $200,000 in bonuses this year with his 2nd and 3rd conference win. Is he can go 5-3 in the SEC, he will make an additional $300,000 in bonuses ($500,000 total), which does not include any Bowl Game bonuses.

being paid under the table by the UL Crime Foundation slush fund to keep him in the fold for the inevitable bad ending with Petrino

To date, Harbaugh is a bargain.

Other than Brohm, Wisconsin (Chryst), Colorado (MacIntyre), UNC (Fedora), Duke (Cutcliffe), West Virginia (Holgersen), Navy (Niumatalolo) and Indiana (Wilson) stick out as schools that are getting real bang for the buck.
