Rumor is, Bill is hanging on and setting up terms to make sure his son takes over as head coach after he dies or hangs it up...whichever comes first......

Seems like the life contract at this point. K-State is slowly declining as is their enrollment. Once Coach Snyder hangs it up, the recruiting will suffer and K-State will go back to battling KU for the conference basement. In meantime...am sure more of same can be expected from them...QB jail break plans...TE slip screens...and more running.

Yep; Schoonerman and our 3rd brethren met us there. All was buzzing well after a pre-game helping of great bbq and suds followed by a high-octane anti-freeze tailgate. The ultimate buzz kill that sobered us quick was the Sproles show. What woulda/coulda been great... It was pretty chilly there for sure

For the record, I meant to add that possibly like H Fry, perhaps Snyder will be remembered as leaving his team in horrible shape (cupboards bare) by staying too long also...

(sorry folks; mucho sleep deprivation)

One of the old Hayden Fry gang, gritty coaches that reached a peak season or two in their long resume but never achieved a Natty. Too bad that probably his most impressive win had to come against OU in Kansas City that possibly contributed to Our losing # 8 a long ago...
I do not believe Kansas State was ever a national championship caliber team, but not because it's Snyder's fault.
Geography and a poor football history (prior to Snyder's time as coach), overshadowed by an elite basketball program of many years are the culprits, IMO.
Snyder has done a great job with limited resources and deserves HOF induction.

If you have noticed since Colin Klein, they have kept running their QBs incessantly. Sure they have a great offensive line...but the risk to QB injury and burnout is too high. Glad we have a far superior game plan than the Cats. I went to dillusional Catbackers preseason rally last year...and the KSU mouth piece was trashing Mayfield and the Sooners. I just had to laugh at Stan Weber’s ranting.

"QB jail break plans...TE slip screens...and more running" Add "strong Defense" and you have a typical game plan for KSU and Iowa

I am incomplete agreement with CT's post, especially the last sentence. I hope Bill Snyder is inducted into the College Football HOF before he dies. He is definitely worthy of this recognition, even though he's won only one B12 conference championship and zero MNCs.

The Babe played way too long too. It wasn’t pretty the last few years. Go out with a bit of dignity, Coach Synder. You have definitely earned it. Kudos.
