Seems our single Duke #1 voter in the coaches poll had to find another #1 team to replace Duke after their loss.

I wonder...did he have UVA above UK all along?

No, I believe we were #2 in his polls every week based on our total poll points. We were one point short of a perfect score, aka unanimous #1...still are I believe.

Thanks....that's what I thought.

Wish we had not gone DBL OT before the Duke loss....just to see if he would have voted UVA.

Not all coaches have a vote. I don't think coach K has one and I don't think a Cal does either.

Thanks, I have wondered who the coaches were. I was thinking Cal was the one who was voting for the other school this whole time. I guess not, but it did seem like something he would do.

Is that a guess or do you know? I used to have a bookmark that showed AP poll votes but I can't remember if it showed coaches poll votes.

No, he admitted it in a newspaper article. The article was linked in a tgread on here several days ago.

Not as hard to justify a vote for another team after our last two performances, but it does seem a little contrarian.

As for the Wofford coach, I assume the reason for his votes in the past weeks was mostly just an effort to get someone to talk about the Wofford program. Any publicity is good publicity after all! Had he not been outspoken about his vote, I might have given him the benefit of the doubt.

Wofford is projected as a 12 seed in one Bracketology. I thought that was surprising, but they have 3 "good losses" and one bizarre one to William and Mary. They have not been anything special in conference play thus far though, winning 3 games by 5 points or less.

I am sure it is still him voting someone other than UK #1. Then again, maybe not...someone may have changed their mind after watching us play this past week.

I agree.

Sometimes this fanbase finds ways to be offended. Polls are meaningless.
