Totally played this game with a "playing not to lose" offensive attitude.! If that's all the better we can call an offensive game, look for a lot more L's in the Frost era! Terrible 2nd half for Frost/ Lubock. Get it together guys!

They tried at least one. It was a disaster.
If we don't figure something out with our passing game, we're not going to win many games anyway. If anytime we attempt a downfield pass and it's a disaster, then we are in big trouble. Need to get a lot better at pass blocking, route running, and qb decision making.

I don’t consider a bubble screen a down field pass. But we certainly need to practice blocking for it.

We need a full size rb that we can rely on as well as big play receivers, add in better playcalling..

The offense still needs work, but the light came on today during the first half, and everyone could see it.

Have to keep working and get the young guys more reps like Betts.

We can't have Wandale as the only running threat. I love what he brings, but we need a real bruiser back there. Not more scat backs.

Glad they won today, because I felt the coaching staff gave PSU every opportunity to take the game away.

2nd have a dumpster fire by the offense, Luke does not have a strong arm but at least brought a spark. Frost needs to learn how to coach and I mean now!

I don't either. Yes the receivers need to block better on those, but the line needs to block better on downfield throws. Regardless, I'd like to see more downfield throws and less bubble screens. Or if the line can't block on downfield throws, we need to start doing some playaction and have Luke rollout to make a play.

Absolutely blows my mind that this is the state of the program 3 years in.
Absolutely blows my mind that they passed you over for Head Coach and gave it to Frost. Amazing how many people on her can run a Division 1 program. I’ll put in my 2 cents, but I also know I can’t do what Frost and his coaches do. There are so many moving parts in a program, 99% of you that spent one day in Frost shoes would piss yourselves and end up in the corner sucking your thumbs.

Wow. While your here Scott can you call better plays? Can you stop calling swing passes?

I thought it was comical. I thought I was watching the Class A high school football championship. Horrible play calling on both sides.

I don't know why Frost was playing things a little conservatively with the big lead. Anyone got any theories?

Look, the 2nd half wasn’t great but a win is a win and the first half was VERY good. I’m more hopeful right now than I’ve been in a while. I’ll take it and hope Frost grows into this job better. Obviously he still has a long way to go but he took over a lackluster team and program. Let’s keep movin on!

Scott needs to coach like he did at UCF. He is clearly feeling the pressure of being the Nebraska coach. He almost always makes the wrong call bc he's going against his nature.

Because he’s still anticipating the Big10 adjusting to his system?
Perhaps he's waiting on the get old and stay old part he's mentioned several times?

That aside, Zavier Betts scored today. I remember someone citing inside information to plant the seed that he might not ever play a down for Nebraska despite qualifying, so people say a lot of stupid things.

Yeah and what good did that do?

Nebraska won.

There aren't moral victories in defeat and there aren't moral defeats in victory. Nebraska has numerous coaching points to take from this game and plenty of work to do until they're an elite team, but Frost adapted his strategy to try to win this game and they won.

the lack of vertical passing game is inexcusable
I agree, how many receivers have not seen the field or none contribute? That is the puzzling and sad part, first year they had Stanley and jd plus Devine last year was jd and wandale once mo left no running game till mills came to life last 1/3 of the season. This is one reason we can’t score another is they need a heavy package for short yardage and in the red zone

I don’t care who they target as long as it’s 30+ yds downfield

long completions and penalty flags are color blind

This team offensively (Frost) has a mentality to lose in the 2nd half. This has to stop.

Do you remember that one pass that hit our captain in the chest in the endzone, and then we had to settle for 3? Frost coaches like he is afraid to make a mistake, and it goes against everything he stood for when he arrived here... If I recall this right I think he said "No fear of failure." What the F was that 2nd half?
